Internet sleuth identifies four suspects in Sydney Thomas mystery… after ring girl claimed SEC coach slid in her DMs
An internet sleuth has gone viral with a hilarious TikTok trying to decipher which SEC football coach slid into Sydney Thomas’ DMs after she rose to fame.
The Mike Tyson-Jake Paul ring girl became a star in her own right after appearing between rounds of the Netflix fight in November, and she made a stunning revelation during a recent podcast appearance.
Thomas shockingly revealed that among her many admirers is an SEC football coach, who slid into her DMs with a cheeky message as she rode the wave of fame.
She obviously chose not to mention which coach it was, but the internet is doing its thing and trying to narrow down the number of suspects – with one man leading the way.
Jack Mac of Barstool Sports has gone viral with his 30-second detective video, in which he initially claims to have narrowed down the options to just four suspects.
In the clip, he says, “After hours of personal research and putting everything I found into my AI machine learning model, I have found four potential suspects as to who the SEC coach could be.

“Suspect number one… Lane Kiffin. Suspect number two… Lane Kiffin. Suspect number three… Lane Kiffin.”
But then things changed when he revealed the last man in the race: “You might have thought suspect number four would be Lane Kiffin, but it’s not. Suspect number four is none other than University of Arkansas coach Sam Pittman.”
Kiffin is currently the head coach at Ole Miss, where he has a 44-18 record since taking over in 2020.
He was previously married and has three children, but has been divorced since 2016. In 2024, he revealed that he had been sober for three and a half years.
It doesn’t appear that Jack Mac had any hard evidence to support his theory, and there’s nothing to indicate that Kiffin was the man who ended up in Thomas’ Instagram DMs.
Pittman, meanwhile, is married to his wife Jamie and seems an even less likely culprit in the mystery.
In total, there are 16 teams to choose from in the SEC, but so far there is no evidence to suggest any coach is guilty of sliding into Thomas’ DMs.

Furthermore, Thomas did not specifically state that it was a head coach who was responsible for the message, opening the door to hundreds more suspects.
On the podcast, she revealed, “They just DMed me, ‘Roll Tide.’ I’m not going to say which coach it was, but they’re Alabama fans, at least now.”
In the video, captioned “college coach shoots his shot,” she added with a laugh, “We’ll let everyone figure out who it was.”
The Tuscaloosa girl now has more than 1 million followers on TikTok and nearly a million on Instagram — while still studies at the University of Alabama.
