A European chef who is a social media sensation will join Melissa Leong as the host of Channel 10’s new MasterChef spin-off show Dessert Masters.

Renowned chef Amaury Guichon, who has amassed an impressive 50 million followers across his social media platforms, will bring his expertise to the exciting new baking show.

The chocolatier became a viral sensation after he started sharing his incredible edible sculptures online.

The 31-year-old is also no stranger to television, having led the Netflix series School of Chocolate.

He will co-host the show with Melissa Leong, who has been a host and judge on the MasterChef Australia franchise since 2020.

The food critic began her television career on Netflix’s The Chef’s Line in 2016 and is now diving headfirst into the world of desserts with the new Channel 10 show.

Leong said that she is very excited to show the public her sweet side.

‘Desserts have the ability to be magical. I am excited to see what these talented chefs are capable of when they get carried away in the MasterChef kitchen,” she said.

Speaking about his sweet new job, Guichon said, “I am so honored to have been chosen to be a part of this wonderful new adventure that will once again highlight our beautiful industry with all its craft and complexity.”

The show will see contestants battle it out to wow the judges with their sweet creations with a massive $100K up for grabs for the overall winner.
