At the start of the clip, which has amassed more than 670,000 views so far, she said: ‘I thought that the national bakery chain, Nothing Bundt Cakes, was a local, small-town, family-run business.’
She noted that when she was in college, she heard a friend talk about the bakery and realized it was a national chain with more than 500 stores across the country and Canada.
The content creator added that she even brought visitors to the bakery and told them a ‘grandma was behind’ making her the delicious treats.
Eli added that she first shared her confusion with her followers on Instagram and received many messages from people claiming they also thought it was a mom-and-pop shop.

It is now the country’s largest specialty cake company.
