Internet divided after gripping Ring Cam footage shows mom race out of house with DOG to escape burglars – but leaves her two kids inside

TikTok users are divided over Ring doorbell footage that shows a mother evading two burglars but leaving her two children behind in her home.

Leah Amberly Wittsche of Dallas, Texas, shared Ring footage of herself outside her home, where she is panicking with her partner Jake and their two sons.

Wittsche is seen leaving her house wrapped in a towel after two burglars chase her away. She calls her husband for help in panic.

She can be heard saying to her husband, “Call the police. I was in the bath, I thought you were home. These two guys came in, I begged them not to hurt the kids.”

The photo shows Wittsche holding her dog as she shakes, but TikTok users were quick to point out why she didn’t think to grab her children during the ordeal last July.

Another added: ‘So she took the dog outside and left the kids alone?!’

While another wrote: ‘Sorry why does she have the dog and not her child????’

In another video she explains how she left the house without her children and what exactly happened.

Wittsche said she thought the two men who broke into her home were going to kill her after they entered her bathroom while she was taking a bath.

She said: ‘I had just put my children to bed and I was upstairs in my house. I went into the bathroom upstairs, locked the door and went to take a bath.

‘I heard a group of people walking around upstairs, like there was a lot of stomping going on. I thought it was my husband.

“I thought that was weird, I just checked his location and it said he was still at work. I didn’t think much of it, I just thought his phone wasn’t working properly.”

Wittsche added that the two men got away with nothing and that they shared images of a broken downstairs door, showing their entry point.

Leah claims she then heard banging and someone opening the bathroom door, and shouting from the hallway.

She said the door handle then broke and two men dressed in black rushed into the bathroom.

Wittsche continues: ‘The man closest to me looks me up and down and then smiles.

‘I’m in shock, I stand up and stare at them, and then it clicks, ‘oh my god my children’.

She claims the man then began yelling at her and threatening to kill her if she moved, before stealing her phone.
