Inter Milan renew their bid to sign Florian Balogun from Arsenal but have yet to agree to Gunners’ £45m valuation as the Serie A side look set to offer £26m

  • Inter have revived their bid to sign Arsenal striker Balogun this summer
  • The Serie A giants have already missed a move for two top goals
  • Arsenal and Inter remain apart despite talks about their appreciation of the attacker

Inter Milan have revived their bid to sign Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.

This comes after they missed out on Gianluca Scamacca of West Ham and Romelu Lukaku of Chelsea.

Inter were looking at a bid of around £26 million for Balogun, who is valued at around £45 million by Arsenal.

The striker enjoyed an impressive breakaway season at Stade de Reims in Ligue 1 last season and is approaching a departure from the Emirates.

However, Arsenal’s valuation could prove to be a sticking point this summer as Inter have yet to agree on a fee for the striker.

With an injury to Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus, a position in the Gunners’ attack has become vacant ahead of the new season.

It remains to be seen if Mikel Arteta will trust Balogun to start the season in this role, or if players like Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli or Eddie Nketiah will play down the middle.

Inter Milan have missed Lukaku, who is pushing for a move to Juventus this summer.

Scamacca is on the verge of returning to Italy, although he will join Inter’s Serie A rivals Atalanta following the departure of Rasmus Hojlund.

If the Italians want to sign Balogun this summer, they must return with a better offer for the young Arsenal player.
