Instant karma: Sex attacker tries to grope female train passenger… then loses his arm when tram hits him during scuffle with crowd that came to victim’s aid in Germany

A sex attacker who tried to grope a female train passenger ended up losing his arm when a locomotive hit him during a scuffle with a crowd coming to the victim’s aid.

A 22-year-old man from Tunisia tried to kiss and grope a 25-year-old woman on a tram in the German city of Stuttgart in the early hours of Sunday, according to federal police.

Other passengers came to the victim’s aid and, together with her attacker, left the train at the next stop at Oesterfeld station in the city’s Vaihingen district.

A scuffle broke out on the platform between the Tunisian, a second man and other passengers, with the unidentified man reportedly physically coming into contact with the sex attacker, causing him to fall onto the tracks.

The man was hit by an oncoming tram and was seriously injured. He was taken to hospital, where one of his arms was amputated during emergency surgery SWR reports.

How the Tunisian man ended up on the railway remains to be determined.

Police are sifting through video footage from the platform and train to determine whether the physical altercation between the men was caused solely by the woman’s sexual harassment or whether it followed an earlier argument.

They have launched an investigation into the sexual harassment and on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after the man lost his arm.

It is not known what condition the sex attacker is in, but he is believed to still be in hospital.
