A man caught on camera kicking in the front door of a hotel received a dose of instant karma within seconds of committing the act of vandalism.
Video posted to social media shows the man trying to enter the lobby of a Marriott hotel, punching the glass door, instantly shattering one of the windows.
To get in, he keeps kicking the glass door repeatedly, almost causing it to fall off its hinges.
But he soon regretted the incident when a local police officer got involved.
Footage shows the man initially standing at the door and pushing his way inside, but once he reaches the reception area he appears to act as if nothing has happened.
A man was seen kicking open the glass doors of a hotel after struggling to get inside
It doesn’t take long for maintenance workers, security guards and police to arrive on the scene. When the man doesn’t follow his instructions, the situation becomes tense.
While the man stands at the hotel reception, the officer produces a pair of handcuffs.
Towering over the police officer, he could be heard protesting and repeatedly saying, “I am a citizen.”
The man refused to offer his hands to be cuffed, but the officer seems to have heard enough.
He catches the man off guard and abruptly punches the man in the jaw, knocking him off balance.
The police arrived quickly and an officer punched the man in the jaw, causing him to lose his balance.
The man was handcuffed after his arrest
The officer is then able to wrestle the man to the ground, placing a knee on the man’s head while grabbing his wrists before eventually placing them in handcuffs and arresting him.
People commenting online were impressed by the way the police officer conducted himself.
“That’s one tough little cop. Well done,” wrote one.
“That cop has some nice moves!”, a second agreed.
“Lol bro he really thought he wasn’t going to jail after kicking in that door,” another user commented.
CCTV footage shows Jason Williams running after the suspect at around 3.30pm yesterday and hitting him over the head with a huge, heavy frying pan.
It is the latest video that shows an example of instant karma.
Last week, a Chicago homeowner was spotted chasing and chasing away a would-be burglar, using a frying pan as a weapon.
Surveillance footage shows Jason Williams running after the suspect and hitting him in the head with a kitchen utensil.
Williams was just minutes away from work when he got a warning from his alarm system that someone had broken in.
‘I came into the house, I looked to see if there was a weapon available… there was a frying pan, so I grabbed the frying pan and at the same time the burglar came downstairs.
“At that point it was fight or flight, and I would rather fight myself,” Williams said ABC.
“At that point it was fight or flight, and I would rather fight,” Williams said in an interview
Video shows the brave owner chasing the suspect while waving the frying pan in the air on his lawn.
“Get out of here, I’m going to kill you,” Williams can be heard screaming as the intruder runs for his life.
In a scene straight out of a TV cartoon, Williams finally takes a satisfying swing at the suspect, leaving him completely shocked when police arrived on the scene.
We see how the intruder quickly crosses the street after the painful blow, but eventually he gives up and is handcuffed by the police.
