Instagram model Brittany Renner is being accused of mocking Islam after posting a video of herself wearing a hijab.
Renner, best known for her previous romance with NBA star PJ Washington, has sent social media into a frenzy with her new look, which is a far cry from her usual provocative wardrobe.
The 32-year-old, who has not yet announced whether she has converted to Islam, first showed off her new style in a video message titled, “Trust your wings.”
In a later video posted to her Instagram, Renner discussed her wardrobe update, writing, “I’m going to enjoy every moment of my walk.”
Renner says she’s not sure her new look fits into her contractual obligations, since she’s paid to model clothes from stores marketed as “sexy,” such as Fashion Nova.

The influencer also shared that she is considering getting Botox under her arms to prevent sweating, as she struggles with her modest appearance due to the hot weather.
“Manifesting a new wardrobe… Inshallah,” she said, using the Arabic phrase for “God willing,” offending many commentators.
An angry response read: ‘Girl, you are not a Muslim, don’t make me angry.’
Another added: ‘I feel like she’s joking…’
A third said: ‘STOP DISRESPECTING MY RELIGION!!!!!!!! Islam is not a marketing strategy, a way to get into blogs or a way to get attention!!! It’s a way of life and I would appreciate it if you didn’t disrespect the hijab. If you were serious you would delete or archive your photos if they are not visible!’

She and NBA star Washington, 25, started dating sometime in 2020 but split the following year, with the NBA player writing a vague tweet about someone who was “setting things up the whole time.”
The couple has one child with Renner, who has been linked to James Harden, Lil Uzi Vert and a slew of other celebrities in the past.
Renner told Akademiks that she and Washington met when she was 26 years old, when he was playing at the University of Kentucky.

Renner was also in the news last year when she was spotted having dinner with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal in Beverly Hills.
The pair were caught by paparazzi as they entered a restaurant, where they ate together, laughing and joking.
While the Internet was abuzz with reports of the leaked video and photos of the two, TMZ was told that there was “absolutely nothing romantic going on” between the two.
