Inside the spectacular $6 million Tennessee mansion built by a former Disney creative that comes with its own diner, ice-cream parlor and coffee shop
A sprawling Tennessee mansion designed by a former Disney employee has hit the market for $6 million, offering a wide range of wonderfully campy amenities, from an Old West-themed safe room to a 1950s-style restaurant. style and even a huge stage surrounded by small city-style storefronts.
Located in the affluent Nashville suburb of Brentwood, the home features five bedrooms and nine bathrooms, including five full bathrooms, spread across 11,500 square feet.
The structure was completed in 2015 in accordance with the vision of the longtime Disney creative, who drew from the enchanting, idealistic imagery of his former employer.
Nowhere is the Disney influence more pronounced than on the home’s lower level, where the stage is located and used by the owners to host everything from community concerts and religious sermons to music lessons for children.
The ex-employee worked at the studio’s Walt Disney Imagineering – a department that employs artists, architects, scientists, model makers and more who “create the magic that makes Disney parks and resorts such incredible places to visit.”

Inspired by the aesthetic of Disney World’s Main Street USA, the stage is flanked by theatrical sets reminiscent of folksy small-town Americana – most notably in the form of faux facades for a fire station, music store, movie theater, gas station and more.
Each of the building’s faux facades has its own character, with many also acting as functional parts of the building, for example with functional doors leading to other parts of the floor.
The audience seats more than 100 people – and indeed the owners have hosted large crowds for charity events and beyond, with the likes of comedian Nate Bargatze, singer Bart Millard of MercyMe and musician Tim Timmons.
Behind the audience is an entrance to a vintage dining room-style dining area with a black and white checkerboard floor.
Adjacent is a cute ice cream parlor with peach walls, while nearby is a catering kitchen designed to cook, store and serve food on a large scale.
Meanwhile, the top floor of the house’s lower level is bordered on one side by a balcony overlooking the stage area.
It also extends further aft and contains the control room, as well as a games room, a guest bed and bath, and even a café stand, ready to be staffed by caterers (a sign nearby indicates the owners’ preference for coffee from the Starbucks brand).
Then there is a mini cinema, which seats 18 people.

The owners claim the safe room once comfortably housed six people overnight while the area was under siege from a tornado threat
An elevator between the two floors of the lower level is a convenient feature for wheelchair-bound guests in the complex.
Overall, the extensive spaces on the lower levels have been designed in meticulous detail to successfully accommodate a variety of large-scale, public-facing events, creating memorable experiences for all.
Less for public use, however, there is a safe room hidden behind an innocuous white door on a lower level, the interior of which goes all-in with an Old West theme.
The inside of the safe room is reminiscent of, say, a Gold Rush-era prospector’s rough cabin, complete with framed vintage black-and-white photos lining the walls and what appears to be antique furniture.
Although the safe room may look small, the owners claim they once comfortably slept six people in the space while the area was under siege by nearby tornadoes.
The upper floors of the house are more traditionally decorated, with vaulted ceilings, oak floors, exposed brick walls and rich rustic wood accents all around.
A large living room contains a huge bookshelf equipped with a rolling ladder and a stone fireplace.
The entire living room, affectionately called the Great Room by the owners, is topped by a cathedral ceiling held together by carefully crafted antique rings from the late 1800s.

On the top floor there are two smaller bedrooms and a family room.

Outside the interior of the house is a three-car garage, with more space in the large driveway.
The mansion is also equipped with solar panels, which not only provide residents with free electricity, but also a tax benefit for their eco-friendly design.
Built on a sloping 1.65-acre site, the home is accessed via lower level entrances, which lead directly to the podium, in addition to the main entrance on the ground floor.
