Inside the rift of Australia’s most famous fitness duo and how their husbands had to split up a nasty fight between the besties during a luxury couples retreat

Celebrity influencers Laura Henshaw and Steph Claire Smith almost tore their fitness empire apart when they had a row together during a luxury holiday.

The Keep It Cleaner co-founders were enjoying an outing with their respective husbands Dalton Graham and Josh Miller when an argument broke out between the longtime friends.

Their partners were forced to intervene and split the conflict before their blue became meaner.

Laura, 30, recalled the brutal altercation during the Share my mood podcast on Monday.

“We were gone for a few nights, and it was the second night, and [Steph and Josh] basically stayed in the room the whole time,” Laura told hosts Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw.

The podcaster kept quiet about what exactly sparked the verbal exchange between her and Steph, 30, but said it was Dalton and Josh who convinced them to sit down and “be open with each other.”

She made sure the pair are still best friends and business partners after “really open, fantastic conversations.”

‘It was actually a very awkward conversation [between Steph and I]. And we talk about it every now and then. We had a very open, fantastic conversation recently,” she explained.

“We worked on that conversation with a coach, which was really helpful because I think when it’s just the two of you, you don’t have anyone who’s objective because you’re involved all the time.”

Laura and Steph first met in early 2010, when they were both modeling at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, not long after graduating high school.

The duo became fast friends as they worked many of the same shows and spent much of their time backstage getting to know each other.

In 2015, the pair made a name for themselves as a fitness dream team when they founded the health and wellness brand Keep It Cleaner and released an app, merchandise, a book and the KICPOD podcast.

Laura took on the role of CEO of the company, while Steph took on the COO chairmanship, making their brand a phenomenal success over the course of nine years.

The friends have created a multi-million empire from their KIC brand and podcast, on which they regularly talk about body positivity and health.

They recently took an exciting step in their fitness and wellness business when they celebrated a new brand deal in January.

Laura and Steph posed in pink activewear for a photoshoot in Bondi to confirm their brand deal with popular activewear label STAX.

It’s not the first mega brand deal the old friends have done, with Laura having collaborated with brands like Jaggad and Bumble in the past.
