Inside the private life of new Today presenter Sarah Abo: The Channel Nine star is married to an international businessman and they recently celebrated their 10th anniversary.

She may have one of the most high-profile jobs on Australian television, but new Today show host Sarah Abo has worked hard to keep her personal life under wraps.

The Syrian-born presenter, 35, has been married to her husband Cyrus Moran since 2012, and the couple enjoyed a romantic honeymoon in Bali, Indonesia.

Cyrus works as a trader at a Melbourne steel mill, helping to facilitate trade between Australian and international companies.

The couple, who have no children, quietly celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in December when they attended the wedding of a close friend.

Both are graduates of Monash University, and Cyrus completed her BA in Art History in 2004, the same year Sarah began studying journalism there.

While Sarah is usually tight-lipped about the status of their relationship, she occasionally posts love-loving photos of her and Cyrus on social media.

An Instagram snap from May shows the lovebirds celebrating Cyrus’ 40th birthday as Sarah hugs him lovingly at a party.

Sarah captioned the photo with some heartfelt words: ‘Happy birthday. Beautiful, blurry, you. #fortygood.’

Channel Nine announced in November that Abo, a former 60 Minutes reporter, would replace Allison Langdon on the Today show alongside Karl Stefanovic.

“I’m delighted to join the wonderful and hard-working team at Today, who manage to inform the nation every morning while having so much fun,” Sarah said in a press release.

Sarah officially joined the Today show, which also includes newscaster Alex Cullen, entertainment reporter Brooke Boney and weather presenter Tim Davies, on Monday 16th January.

She had been a familiar face to viewers of the Nine breakfast show, having filled in for Allison numerous times last year.

While Sarah is usually tight-lipped about the status of their relationship, she occasionally posts love-loving photos of her and Cyrus on social media.
