Inside the Las Vegas SEX CLUB that lures members in by masquerading as a meditative Buddhist retreat

A Las Vegas sex club has been accused of luring members in by posing as a meditative Buddhist retreat – and a former employee has now opened up about everything that happened behind closed doors.

Kirsten appeared on a recent episode of the Cults for consciousness podcast to explain how she ended up working for the One Love Temple, also known as the Sea Mountain Spa.

The Nevada native first encountered the “sex club” after leaving Mormonism, getting divorced and needing to quickly secure a job – but the truth behind her new role soon unraveled.

Speaking to host Shelise Ann Sola, she began: “I don’t want anyone to think I don’t agree with the lifestyle people have – nudists, swingers, polyamory – I support it 100 percent. I love it…

“But this One Love Temple absolutely did not do it in a moral or consensual way.”

Kirsten, who had previously attended cosmetology school, had begun her job search on Craigslist to work at local spas and salons.

She came across an advertisement seeking managers for a nudist yoga temple but she was unimpressed by its policies at the time.

‘At first I thought okay… but then I thought, “I’m out of Mormonism, I need to experience new things and people are doing naked yoga, this is a thing, it’s fine.”

She arrived for an interview at a house in a residential area neighborhood to discover that everyone was completely naked, while the group of interviewees was also told to ‘undress’.

‘What baffles me is that no one has said anything. None of us said anything. We just looked at each other and got naked,” she recalled.

They were given a tour of the facilities, including some very characteristic rooms.

‘It was very clearly a sex room… It just kept getting stranger and stranger – a lot of the rooms looking in from the outside would look very much like this: this would be the yoga room or this would be the meditation room, but every time you opened it, there was a round bed.’

And after securing the job, the then 30-year-old soon discovered that she wasn’t there as a hostess, but as “eye candy.”

‘I remember feeling very uncomfortable. I feel like now that I was gone it was like forced voyeurism. It was very, “I didn’t know this was going to happen, I didn’t give permission for that to happen.”

“I think people saw that I was visibly uncomfortable and thought it was funny.”

Explaining why she believes One Love Temple is a “cult,” she said, “The behavior control starts to reel you in by behaving as if this is a beautiful, relaxing yoga retreat.

“On their website it has Buddha statues and swimming pools, and they say you know you can enjoy mineral water pools and all that stuff.

‘But once you get there they tell you to strip completely naked and if you choose not to do that you are asked to leave and told you are a predator because you are not naked.

“So basically, ‘We’re all naked, so if you’re not naked and you look at our bodies, you become a creep and we’re not okay with that.’

Kirsten said the organization requires all guests to sign contracts agreeing to go completely nude, making it clear that this is not optional – despite their website stating otherwise.

“I find it interesting that they make it very clear that you have to be naked once you get there, but they don’t give you that knowledge upfront or even lie about it,” she said.

The One Love Temple has two dedicated websites.

The first describes the establishment as a “meditative Zen center – bringing Zen and love to the Mecca of Nevada.”

But the other, where it is titled Sea Mountain Spa Las Vegas, is awash with images of naked bodies in compromising poses.

It reads: ‘Come to the most unique and luxurious lifestyle temple on earth and see where desire can be realized by loving positively every day and night of the year.’

The website claims that “clothing is optional” and adds, “You can always wear a towel, sarong, wrap or bathrobe, so your comfort is Sea Mountain’s concern.”

But Kirsten strongly disputes this: ‘No, you couldn’t walk around the towel, the perimeter or a bathrobe, they would say, ‘No, you’re being creepy because we’re all naked and you’re not, so you’re here. to look at other people’s bodies and make them uncomfortable.”

She argued: ‘It often happened that people would come without knowing what it was.

“One thing that has happened a lot that makes me really sad is that couples book time together… and when they call, we tell them it’s a completely nude ‘lifestyle’ resort.

‘Some people knew what that meant, some didn’t. Sometimes one partner called to obtain that information and consciously chose not to tell the other partner.’

Kirsten said that in one instance, an erotic massage therapist at One Love Temple used her to demonstrate some teachings.

‘I felt like I had to. I was as stiff as a board the entire time and even though it wasn’t that full massaging genitals or whatever, it was very erotic touching other parts of my body….

“I wanted to bawl my eyes out and I didn’t have the courage to tell (my partner) what had happened because I was so mortified and traumatized and ashamed and hurt and all the other thousand feelings you get when you’ve been violated.”

Kirsten, who had been with the organization for less than six months, said the owners denied single men or gay couples access to the resort – adding that the main target group was white couples in their 40s and 60s.

She concluded, “It makes me sad to think that I worked for or helped to be part of a place that probably caused trauma for a lot of people: they were put in situations they didn’t agree with and forced to participate in things they didn’t want to participate in.”
