In his biography of Steve, author Walter Isaacson described the younger Jobs as a “strong-willed, funny firecracker.”

He said that as a child, Eve would often call her father’s assistant and ask her to clear his schedule so they could spend time together as a father and daughter.

The family grew up in a “simple Tudor-style house on an affluent street” in Palo Alto, California, according to U2 frontman Bono.

In his memoirs, he wrote that the house had a “garden full of wild flowers and edibles, with a gate a few feet from a front door that he never locked.”

The LA Times reported that the 6,000-square-foot, seven-bedroom house was built in the 1930s and looked as if it had been “plucked from an English village.”

It is said that the Apple billionaire tried his best to give his children a normal upbringing, despite his immense wealth.

According to the news agency, he had “no help at home, no guards, no drivers.”

He also once admitted to limiting his children’s technology use, despite having founded one of the world’s most successful tech companies.

He told the New York Times when a reporter asked if his kids “loved” the new iPad, “They haven’t used it. We limit how much technology our kids use at home.”

Steve died in 2011 from pancreatic cancer, when Eve was 12. At the time of his death, his net worth was estimated at $10.5 billion.

But Eve and her siblings won’t get any of his money, as he left his vast fortune to his wife Laurene. In 2020, she revealed that she has no plans to pass it on to their children.

She told the New York Times that her husband had made it clear before his death that he did not want to pass on his income to the children, because he wanted them to work for their own money.

“I inherited my wealth from my husband, who wasn’t concerned about accumulating wealth,” she said.

“I’m not interested in building a legacy of wealth, and my kids know that… Steve wasn’t interested in that. If I live long enough, it’ll end with me.”

While Reed and Erin both lead relatively private lives away from the spotlight, Eve has chosen the opposite: she has launched a major modeling career.
