Inside the Beckhams’ lavish five-bedroom, £17million Miami penthouse – complete with Atlantic Ocean views and the city’s first private helicopter pad as they spend their summer in Florida

The Beckhams have taken full advantage of what Miami has to offer as they spend their summer in sun-drenched Florida after purchasing a lavish penthouse.

David, who founded his Inter Miami football club three years ago and recently signed Lionel Messi, has made sure his family’s long time in the city is well spent.

The 48-year-old sportsman is said to have bought the path – at the very top of the 59th floor of the One Thousand Museum, with 62 floors and a height of 215 meters one of the tallest buildings in the city of Florida – for £ 17.15 million.

It features Miami’s first private helipad, five bedrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious balconies overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Victoria, 49, has provided an insight into their home-away-from-home by sharing photos from her incredible dressing room and gym, and it’s every bit as luxurious as fans would expect.

Here MailOnline takes a look at the incredible property.

Where’s the Beckhams’ penthouse?

In the heart of Miami, among the towering skyscrapers that rise above the Bay of Biscay, the striking luxury apartment building of the late star architect Zaha Hadid dominates the skyline.

The unique curved “exoskeleton” design of the One Thousand Museum building has created buzz and is the only living space in downtown Miami with a helipad.

The building is also a way to honor the legacy of the Iraqi-British architect, who died in Miami in 2016 at the age of 65, when the 62-story One Thousand Museum tower was being built up to about the eighth floor.

“We felt a great obligation to make sure we got this particular project right, because Miami was her second home,” said Chris Lepine, who took over management of the $300 million project after her death.

The building houses 82 separate units, a Sky Lounge for resident use, an Aquatic Center, an infinity pool, 24-hour security, and a private movie theater.

Some of the quirkier features include bespoke ‘fragrance’ in the common areas, fresh flower delivery and event planning services.

It was completed in 2019, with an average price for one of the apartments at $11 million, according to Luxury homes in Miami.

When did they buy it and how much did it cost?

The residence, now reportedly worth £22.6 million after the Beckhams bought it for £17.15 million, is part of David and former Spice Girl Victoria’s £73 million global property portfolio.

David is said to have paid a £10 million mortgage on the house three years ago.

It is alleged that the former footballer will have to pay back more than £40,000 a month, with the repayment increased to almost £48,000 including taxes.

He bought real estate through his firm Beckham Brand Ltd when he was in the process of setting up his football club Inter Miami, according to The sun.

The penthouse is used as a base for the family when David works with his Inter Miami football team, their eldest child Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz also live in the US, allowing the family to spend time together.
