President Joe Biden plans to rely on a historic luxury from California for his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, which will take place at an extravagant estate that could impress even a leader with no term limits on his rule.
Biden says he hopes his talks with his Chinese counterpart on Wednesday will “change the relationship for the better,” after a major row over China’s spy balloon and concerns about Beijing’s close embrace of Moscow even amid Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine.
After months of delicate diplomacy, the two men meet on the peninsula below San Francisco, on an estate with 654 care centers. Voice of America reported.

The grounds of the Filoli estate include five “distinct ecosystems,” trails, a fruit orchard, redwoods and natural springs – just the kind of lush environment that might prompt a world leader to retreat from corporate espionage and consider invading Taiwan , or the rollback of import tariffs.
The US and China have reportedly already gone a step further, with Beijing pledging to reduce production of fentanyl, which is poisoning Americans and contributing to social disruption on the streets of San Francisco, just a few blocks away the APEC summit that is underway.

The events director, Helen Dubuc, denied on Tuesday that a summit would take place there.
