Inside Steven Gerrard’s stunning £10k-per-month mansion with six palatial bedrooms, swimming pool, tennis court and games room – as Liverpool legend battles to save Saudi job

Steven Gerrard this week issued a defiant message that he wants to continue as manager of Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq, despite calls for his resignation.

Gerrard has a one-year £15.2million contract with Al-Ettifaq and led the club to sixth place in the Saudi Pro League last season.

But they sit in 10th place this season having failed to record a league win since September 14, and fell to a new low on Wednesday when they were defeated 3-1 by lower league side Al-Jabalain and left the King Cup in last place. -16 podium.

At a press conference on Friday, Gerrard responded to claims that he had planned training sessions around Liverpool’s matches and vowed to continue working towards achieving success with the Saudi Pro League club.

“My main interest is this job and trying to make this club the best possible way on and off the pitch,” Gerrard said. ‘I’m all in and I’ll stay all in.’

Gerrard’s family have also been all-in to supporting his efforts at the club following his move to the Middle East after accepting the £15.2million role.

The family had turned down a house near his job in Dammam – where Al-Ettifaq is based – and opted to settle in Bahrain.

Bahrain’s capital is just an hour’s drive from Dammam, making it easy for the former Liverpool star to commute to work.

The country has more relaxed laws than Saudi Arabia, where alcohol is banned, and several WAGS have complained that cultural restrictions are placed on them and that they face abuse because of the way they dress.

Some claimed they were even denied entry to shops and malls because they showed part of their arms, legs or chest.

However, Gerrard’s wife Alex Curran is said to be living a ‘dream life’ in their £10,000-a-month mansion in Hamala, Bahrain.

The family lives in a luxury six-bedroom villa in the Hamala area of the city, close to members of Bahrain’s royal family and others from the country’s elite.

It costs around £10,000 per month and comes with its own swimming pool, tennis court and games room and is set in grounds behind a high gate.

The family has been able to enjoy Bahrain’s lavish shopping centres, restaurants and bars, which have earned the country the reputation of being the party capital of the Gulf region.

As part of his contract, Gerrard and his family have also received free membership to the country’s two most exclusive health clubs, based at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel and the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

The couple, who married in 2007, share three girls and a boy; Lilly Ella, 20; Lexie, 17; Lourdes, 12 and Lio, 7.

They are enrolled at Bahrain’s most exclusive English language school, which is ranked in the top 100 in the world and where fees each come to almost £11,000 a year.

The Gerrards are regular visitors to the Ritz’s open-air bar, close to its private beach, where Premier League matches are shown on big screens.

They have also been spotted at the Bahrain Rugby Club, an exclusive expat hangout made up of pristine sports fields.

The club has a large sports bar where the former Liverpool legend is said to have enjoyed a pint and a chat with the locals.

For Alex, one of her favorite destinations is the World Trade Center in Manama, home to more than 80 luxury fashion labels, including Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Versace.

Another location in the country where she has been spotted walking in the sunshine is Avenues, a stylish waterfront shopping center with over 130 leading brands and more than 60 restaurants and cafes.

However, Gerrard faces a battle to keep his lucrative job in the Saudi Pro League.

Supporters have turned against the Liverpool legend, while several Saudi pundits have suggested Gerrard should step down from his position.

Reports had emerged that Gerrard could leave the club after meeting Hatim Al Misehal, Al-Ettifaq’s head of football.

Gerrard confirmed he had met with the referee on Thursday as part of a typical meeting as he vowed to fight on despite mounting pressure around the team’s results.

“Due to the recent results in my position you are always aware of disappointments among fans, I have to take that responsibility on my shoulders,” Gerrard said on Friday.

‘That is what I will do and will continue to fight and work to improve on the recent results.

‘I don’t react, I don’t change and I don’t worry too much about social media or anyone outside the opinion of Ettifaq, my priority is this club.

‘I listen to the people inside and continue to support my players.

“We met yesterday, but we meet after every game.

He added: “I want to make it abundantly clear that my priority is with Ettifaq, I have a contract with Ettifaq and I am in a really privileged position.
