Ruth Wilson has been a fixture on our screens for nearly two decades since her breakthrough role in the 2006 Jane Eyre miniseries.
Since then she has starred in such successes as Luther, His Dark Materials and most recently The Woman In The Wall.
In the six-part BBC thriller, the thriller has been labeled “utterly exquisite” by viewers, with Lorna Brady (played by Ruth) discovering a dead body in her house in the first episode.

Is Ruth Wilson in a relationship?
Ruth is in a long-term relationship with an American writer, but she has never mentioned them publicly.
While she clearly keeps her private life to herself, the actress has been associated with more high-profile names in the past.
Who has Ruth Wilson been associated with in the past?
Judas Law
In 2011, Ruth, then 29, became romantically linked to actor Jude Law after the pair appeared in the same stage adaptation of Anna Christie.
While the co-stars were rumored to have kissed on a night out at London’s Groucho Club, neither confirmed the relationship.
In early 2012, the two were spotted together in the United States taking a walk in Venice Beach, Los Angeles.
More than a decade later, they still seem to be getting along, appearing together at the 2021 BFI London Film Festival after collaborating on the film True Things.

Jake Gyllenhaal
A few years later in 2015, Ruth was rumored to be in a relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal, as they starred together in the Broadway play Constellations.
Rumors about their romance started after they were reportedly seen kissing and holding hands at a Golden Globes after-party. E! News report that they were spotted kissing after a workout.
However, Ruth pretty much shut down the rumors in an interview with ABC news at the time he said, ‘He’s cute, a really good guy. We’ve become a bit brother and sister.’
In 2016, she revealed her annoyance at being associated with her peers like Jude and Jake.
She told Evening standard: ‘I doubt if any of the actors I’m linked to have been asked to work with me. I do find it a bit insulting.’

Is Ruth Wilson Married?
Despite being together for a long time with her partner, Ruth doesn’t plan on walking down the aisle anytime soon, and she has told Marie Claire magazine, “I hate the thought of walking down the aisle in a white dress — I think it’s just a terrible idea.
“And I just don’t get that excited about the idea of a wedding anniversary, or a ring on my finger. I’m not even interested in jewelry.’
She also told G2: ‘I don’t believe in institutions. I believe in connections, I have a very strong relationship and I have had it for several years.
“I believe the value of having someone in your life who understands and sees you is immense. And I’m so glad I got it.’
She also laughed off the idea that her aversion to marriage might be a result of her grandfather’s polygamy.
Ruth joked, “Yeah, it’s genetics. You know, my grandfather died before I was even born and my parents have a great marriage. It must have skipped a generation.’
Alexander Wilson’s other lives were only discovered by Ruth’s grandmother after he passed away, as the actress portrayed in 2018’s Mrs Wilson.
Does Ruth Wilson have children?
Ruth has waxed lyrical about her family life as the youngest of four children, with three brothers.
Even though she doesn’t have any children of her own yet, she said Radio times that she “thinks about having a baby every day” in 2022.
But that came with the caveat that ‘I can see the pros and the cons.
“I have many nieces and nephews, so I have many children in my life and I love children. It’s just that… it completely changes your life. So yes, I think about it a lot.’
