Inside Prince Jackson’s ‘Trust Fund Kid’ life: How pop icon Michael’s son, 27, lives ‘all-expenses paid’ existence but avoids being ‘an LA brat’ with steady girlfriend and charity work

Michael Jackson’s children made a rare public appearance together earlier this week when they unveiled the controversial MJ: The Musical in London.

And while Paris Jackson, 25, is something of a showbiz staple, often seen at glitzy events and visiting the city, her brothers Prince, 27, and Deken, 22, are less seen.

Fans of the iconic musician will no doubt be wondering what became of the couple after their father’s death in 2009.

Insiders reveal to MailOnline that Prince, who shares Michael with Debbie Rowe, ‘pretty much lives like a rich kid from the LA Trust Fund – but isn’t one of those annoying LA 20-somethings who act like their money can buy anything.’

As Prince lives life in The City Of Angels, it has been revealed that Prince Michael II, better known as Deken, has renamed himself Bigi and now lives as a hermit, away from the bright light that accompanies his famous name.

But far removed from his brother’s quest for anonymity, sources close to Prince have shed light on his life through production and PR, his stable romantic life and also revealed the heartbreaking reason he withdrew from public life.

In launching his career, Prince expressed interest in becoming a film director or even TV series creator after graduating from Loyola Marymount University.

Sources say: ‘He has added business administration to his studies, but has not dealt much with just commerce since leaving university. He had a charmed life where his house, cars, vacations and expenses were covered, meaning he can do as much or as little as he wants…

“That doesn’t mean he’s an LA brat, because he’s a well-spoken and polite young man. His drive certainly doesn’t resemble that of his father.’

The insider revealed that Prince has relied on links with PR companies tied to the estate to get him gigs; things are usually connected to his father’s entities or charities.

Since the death of his father, the singer’s youngest son, formerly known as Deken but now called Bigi, has lived a relatively quiet life (seen as a child with Jackson and his siblings).

The insider continued, “He worked for Entertainment Tonight for a while, but “that just disappeared because he had little to offer or create”…

“He’s been working on scripts for a few years” with an idea to produce or direct, but “in reality there’s little noise about that now…

“He had also considered using his estate funding to “finance projects and act as a producer, but that never happened.”

However, the release of the 2019 documentary Leaving Neverland marked a turning point for Prince, as he retreated from the spotlight.

Upon leaving Neverland, it was claimed that at the height of his fame, Michael began a relationship with two boys, aged 7 and 10, and their families. Now in their 30s, they told their stories of how they claimed they were sexually abused by Jackson.

Sources continued: ‘When the allegations in the Leaving Neverland documentary about his father emerged, he appeared to take a step back in dealing with Hollywood and the media. The noise about his father was too much for his voice or plans to be heard.”

MailOnline has contacted Prince’s representatives for comment.

He then launched a film company King’s Son Production about dreaming as it is the art for Prince. Despite launching and undertaking music videos and promos to help Sister Paris with her music dreams, the company is ‘in trouble’.

They continued, “Prince likes to do his thing with his friends. He enjoys riding his motorcycle, hanging out with friends at their Calabasas mansions and remains friends with many of his old bodyguards who took care of him growing up.”

In addition to his professional ambitions, he has been in a relationship with Molly Schirmang for a long time, whom he met through university: ‘They seemed very settled and under the radar…’

“They don’t really pursue that desire to go to Hollywood events or hang out with A-listers. They love their circle of friends, hanging out with friends and dating in The Valley…

“They’re close, but we haven’t heard much about a wedding or anything like that yet.” Prince keeps his love life to himself.’

Prince has a “good relationship, a working relationship” with the estate: “For years he was at the heart of father Michael’s posthumous ventures, from supporting MJ One in Vegas to attending birthday celebrations for his father in Gary, Indiana, he has made himself available…

“He is always happy to represent his father’s family and legacy. He supported Thriller’s 40th anniversary celebration and typically hosted the MJ Halloween nights at the old family home in Encino.”

Prince has also shown his philanthropic ways, having co-founded the organization Heal Los Angeles with John Muto.

The nonprofit will serve “inner-city Los Angeles youth by providing access to co-curricular education initiatives that will emphasize the value of an active, healthy lifestyle and provide the tools necessary to earn an education.”
