Michelle Keegan celebrated her 36th birthday in style on Saturday with a lavish family party.

The actress’ sister-in-law, Jess Wright, gave a glimpse of the party on her Instagram story where guests were treated to a huge cake and an Aperol spritz truck.

There was also a live singer performing in front of a beautiful balloon and flower arch at the garden party where friends and family gathered in the sunshine.

Jess, 37, shared sweet snaps with husband William Lee-Kemp and son Presley as they danced in the garden with Jess’ dad Mark.

She looked summery in a tank top and linen pants as she showed off the special soft play area set up for the kids.

Michelle herself and her husband Mark have yet to share any snaps from the party themselves, although it appears it took place at their new mansion in Essex.

Ahead of her birthday party, Michelle has been busy filming her new Netflix thrilling Fool Me Once.

In the upcoming show, Michelle will play Maya, a mother who experiences trauma after returning from war.

Michelle, who is best known for her roles in Coronation Street and Brassic, has reportedly signed a six-figure deal with Fool Me Once, based on one of Harlan Coben’s books.

Seven of Harlan’s hit books have already been adapted into Netflix series, including the psychological thriller The Stranger, which gained huge popularity on the platform.

In Fool Me Once, Michelle plays former Special Ops pilot Maya, who gets a shock after returning from war.

According to a book synopsis, Maya goes through trauma when her husband Joe is brutally murdered, but two weeks later, she deals with a mystery when she sees her infant daughter playing with Joe on her baby monitor.

She stars alongside Richard Armitage, Adeel Akhtar and Dino Fetscher in the show.

Talking about Michelle’s new role, a TV source told me The sun“This is a huge role for Michelle.

“Harlan’s dramas are among the most streamed on Netflix and people are watching all over the world.”

A release date for the series has yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to be available for streaming late this year or early next year.

The 2020 adaptation of Harlan’s book The Stranger, starring Richard Armitage and Hannah John-Kamen, proved very popular on the streaming platform.

The eight-part adaptation follows family man Adam, whose life falls apart after he discovers a shocking secret about his wife.

Hannah played the mysterious stranger who reveals the secret to Adam and entangles him in a conspiracy.

The star-studded cast also included Game of Thrones icon Paul Kaye, Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Anthony Head, Broadchurch’s Shaun Dooley, The Crying Game’s Stephen Rea and Black Mirror actor Kadiff Kirwan.
