Stunning new footage has emerged from Manchester City’s dressing room at half-time of last season’s Champions League final, with Erling Haaland, Rodri and Pep Guardiola all starring in the emotional moment.
City wrote themselves into the history books of European football last season when they became only the second English team ever to win the Treble, comprising the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.
Having already beaten Arsenal to clinch the Premier League title and edged ahead of rivals Man United in the FA Cup showpiece, City turned their attention to Europe’s top club competition, where Inter Milan awaited them in the final.
For all Guardiola’s great performances in the match, winning the Champions League with City was always seen as ‘the one that got away’, with his previous attempts falling short – most notably the 2021 final against Chelsea – but this time there was no mistake as the English giants won a first ever European title.
Rodri’s goal in the 68th minute eventually leveled the score, but there were nerves in the City camp as they went into the match at half-time with the match still goalless.

Netflix has unveiled a sneak peak of their upcoming documentary Together: Treble Winners, bringing the cameras into the locker room and giving fans incredible insight into the emotions and tactics of the high-pressure situation.
City’s star striker Haaland is one of the most outspoken individuals in the dressing room as the 23-year-old’s leadership qualities shine through despite only being in his first season at the club.
The Norwegian superstar tries to convince his teammates by saying: ‘We’re going to have this, we’re going to win. Don’t think guys it’s 0-0, don’t think. No problem.’
Other members of City’s squad showed more frustrated and concerned figures, as Phil Foden pondered his thoughts, Rodri cut an irritated figure and Guardiola quickly ran through second-half tactics with his coaching team.
The preview clip cuts before Guardiola delivers an impassioned half-time team talk, but the legendary manager does discuss the emotions of the occasion.
‘Of course emotion is so important in the final. The great personalities. The characters.

“But it’s about how you approach the moment at halftime, how you overcome, how well you overcome. He’s not a perfect first half because it happens.
‘These people are people. They have the desire to do well, to achieve it, to win it, to take it to the next level,” he added.
The exciting half-time exchange clearly worked wonders as City produced an improved performance in the second half, taking them to victory inside 90 minutes.
City are now looking to complete an incredible second successive Treble, with top honors still up for grabs in the remaining three competitions of the season.
