Never-before-seen footage of Pat Cummins’ incredible year with the Australia Test team will be released this month after Amazon Prime released the trailer for the third season of The Test.
The three-part series will focus on Australia’s explosive tour of England, in which the tourists successfully defended the Ashes, albeit in a rather controversial manner.
Cummins and wicketkeeper Alex Carey made themselves public enemy No. 1 after punching Jonny Bairstow during the second Test match at Lord’s in London.
The incident was big news in the UK and Australia, with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak weighing in on the scandal, while English fans roundly booed Cummins and Carey for the rest of the series.
The normally calm MCC was also incensed by the incident, with members getting into an argument with Australian David Warner as the team walked through the long hall for lunch shortly after Bairstow’s dismissal.
