Inside Lisa Wilkinson and husband Peter FitzSimons’ $70m property portfolio: From a sprawling six-bedroom estate to a luxury apartment with flawless harbour views
Lisa Wilkinson may be away from television screens for a year.
But the former Project host is hardly struggling, considering she has a real estate portfolio worth more than most people make in a lifetime.
The TV presenter, 64, and her journalist husband Peter FitzSimons, 62, have amassed an impressive profile of luxury homes over the years, with one expert valuing their current portfolio at up to $70 million.
The couple and their three children live in a sprawling six-bedroom estate worth up to $40 million in Sydney’s affluent Cremorne.
They reported paying just $1.4 million for the house and having undergone extensive renovations, including the addition of a huge bedroom wing overlooking Sydney Harbour.

Lisa and Peter also own a second property next door, which is estimated to be worth another $20 million.
Speak with women’s Day magazine on Monday, a leading real estate agent claimed that Lisa and Peter could make up to $70 million if they sold both homes as one large plot of land.
“They could put any price on their property,” the expert began.

Lisa and Peter have made a fortune in the property market since buying their first home in 1993. They bought the five-bedroom, three-bathroom Mosman property (pictured) for $855,000 and sold it five years later for $1.65 million.
“The land area for their own home alone is enormous – just over 3,000 square meters – and features a beautiful 1903 home with never-to-be-built gun barrel views of Sydney Harbor and the city and beyond,” she added to.
Meanwhile, Lisa and Peter rent out the house next door for as much as $2,500 a week.
According to the publication, Lisa plans to eventually convert that property into an “office” for her author husband.

Wilkinson also owns a 1970s one-bedroom unit in Cremorne, which overlooks Sydney Harbor with views of both the Harbor Bridge and the Opera House.
The house was once owned by her late mother, Beryl, who reportedly bought it in 1996 for $388,000.
After her mother’s death in 2018, Lisa’s brothers Kyle and Brett sold her their share of the property to her for $275,000 each.
Lisa now rents it out for $770 a week with a $3,080 deposit, reports Realty.com.au.
