Inside Johnny Depp’s RADICAL transformation: How star, 60, has dramatically lost weight, ditched long hair, grubby look and embraced ‘clean living’ in London ahead of new Dior campaign shoot
Johnny Depp has undergone a radical midlife transformation, completely changing himself as he approaches his 61st birthday.
Earlier this year, the actor cut a decidedly bohemian figure.
In February, he was pictured in Turin, Italy – where he is directing his new film “Modi,” about the artist Modigliani – wearing a Rasta hat, a camo jacket complete with a Che Guevara patch, and hair so long it looked like fell down. Shoulder length.
Since then it has had a very respectable makeover. Exclusive photos show him arriving at the small British film premiere of ‘Jeanne Du Barry’ on Monday evening.
Depp – who has clearly lost a significant amount of weight – wore a skin-tight Dior suit and had his hair cut short.

Friends of the Hollywood star, who turns 61 in June, trust that he has lived in London for a while and that the city suits him.
One says: ‘He has lived in Britain during Modi’s editing, and has led a cleaner lifestyle than sometimes in the past.’
I’m told the long hair came out about a fortnight ago – before Depp went off to film another ad campaign for Dior. (He is the face of their best-selling fragrance, Sauvage.)
Depp plays Louis XV in ‘Jeanne Du Barry’, and speaks French in the photo. The film is released in Britain on Friday and in America next month. The premiere took place last May at the Cannes Film Festival.
At the time, Depp denounced talk of his ‘comeback’.
When asked if he felt “boycotted by Hollywood” following allegations of domestic abuse made against him by his ex-wife Amber Heard, he said her claims were “just vowels and consonants floating in the air.”

“It’s almost like I have to come back and do a tap dance and do my best for you guys, and I hope you guys agree with that,” he said.
“I didn’t come back from anywhere,” he added. “I didn’t go anywhere.”
In 2022, Depp won a major US lawsuit against Heard, with the court ruling that she had defamed him when she alleged domestic violence.
A previous libel trial, against The Sun newspaper for calling him a “wife beater”, ended in defeat for Depp in 2020.
