Inside Eddie Hall’s insane 10,000 CALORIE-A-DAY diet: Former World’s Strongest Man opens up on ‘carnivore diet’ that saw him LOSE weight, removed all ‘aches and pains’ and helped him ‘train harder and longer’

Former World’s Strongest Man Eddie Hall has revealed the secret behind his incredible strength and recent weight loss: a strict carnivore diet.

Hall built a reputation on his immense strength, retaining that title in 2017 after completing a 500kg deadlift, before quickly retiring from competition.

The 36-year-old focused on competing at a lighter weight and venturing outside of the powerlifting world, which meant drastically changing his diet.

At the time, Hall weighed a whopping 425 pounds, which caused concern about his health, but he has since changed for the better.

Hall now weighs about 375 pounds, which he credits to his new diet, which he says has helped him lose “12 pounds in six weeks.”

Speaking to Mail Sport, the Clash Royale ambassador said: ‘The carnivore diet is actually working out really well. I’ve lost six kilos in six weeks.

‘The inflammation has gone down, I’m eating as much meat and eggs as I want, so yeah… so far so good!’

“Will it last? I’m going to do it for three months and see how I feel. Do I continue or not? We’ll have to see.”

On a carnivore diet, you only eat meat, fish, and animal products such as butter and eggs. You leave other food groups, such as fruits, vegetables, and seeds, alone.

Unlike other extreme diets like keto, which are low-carb, the goal of the carnivore diet is to eliminate carbs completely.

It is based on the belief that our ancestors lived on meat alone thousands of years ago. Proponents claim that foods high in carbohydrates and sugars, including certain fruits such as apples and bananas, are responsible for a high percentage of chronic diseases.

Hall has documented his incredible journey through the “carnivore diet” on his YouTube channel, which has a whopping 3 million subscribers.

In a recent video, Hall showed off the amount of food he eats in a day. It’s safe to say that the average person would struggle to eat half, let alone their entire diet.

In the video, Hall shows himself starting his day with a massive 1,500-calorie breakfast of salmon, five eggs fried in butter, cottage cheese and a milkshake.

Hall then heads out to explore the neighborhood, but normally you’d expect the former World’s Strongest Man to be in the gym after breakfast.

After his morning activities, the 36-year-old eats more eggs, another milkshake and a whole ribeye steak for lunch, bringing his total calorie intake to 3,700.

After he’s done that, Hall heads to the gym for an afternoon workout, using the fuel from earlier in the day to build his muscles.

But there’s no rest for the bad guys, so during his workout Hall drinks another protein shake, adding another 600 calories.

Since retiring from Strongman competition, Hall has maintained his strength and even broke the record for the world’s hardest punch, just two weeks after UFC star Alex Pereira set the previous standard.

Just a month after this impressive feat, Hall took part in a unique 2v1 handicap match for his first MMA outing, at the World Freak Fight League event at King George’s Hall in Blackburn.

Hall took on TikTok superstars Jamil and Jamel Neffati – also known as The Neffati Brothers – and won by knockout after stunningly defeating both opponents.

It’s almost astonishing that someone who eats as much as Hall can compete in an MMA fight, but ‘The Beast’ proves that anything is possible.

After a workout at the gym, Hall eats a Biltong snack, which gives him an extra 113 calories.

And finally, for dinner, Hall serves two more ribeye steaks, two eggs fried in butter, and a dessert consisting of a milkshake, broth, and protein powder.

That adds another 2,600 calories, bringing his total for the day to a monumental 9,800. Of that, 892 grams were protein.

Despite cutting out food groups like fruits, vegetables and seeds, Hall maintains that the diet has helped him lose weight but still maintain muscle. He says the diet has helped him “train harder and longer.”

He told Mail Sport: ‘Don’t get me wrong – I don’t think I’ve lost muscle! I think it’s just fat that’s fallen off me and I actually think my strength has improved.

“So if anything, I could gain some muscle and lose some fat. I think there’s definitely a place for people’s diet in terms of health.

‘I mean, I used to wake up every day with a bad back, a bad knee, a bad foot. And honestly, after two weeks of dieting, that’s gone.

“I don’t have any aches and pains anymore and I can train harder and longer and I sleep better. So it definitely has some good health benefits. I would recommend trying it and seeing what it does for you. So far it’s worked really well for me.”

Hall even admitted he would recommend the diet to his son Maximus, who has already been tipped to compete in Strongman competitions like his father.

The 11-year-old can already deadlift 120kg – more than most adults – and could soon follow in his father’s footsteps as a leading athlete in the sport.
