A spiral staircase fit for purpose
A close friend of the couple recently took Rylan Clark to Instagram to show him trying out Eamonn’s purposeful stairlift.
The house has a gorgeous spiral staircase with wooden panel floors, a glossy banister and ground spots on each step.
Fit for Eamonn last year, the kick on the left helps broadcaster as he struggles with chronic back pain.
In the spring of 2021, Eamonn first experienced severe back pain, which came out of nowhere, leaving him dependent on a cane.
After discovering it was three hernias affecting the movement of his right leg, things went awry when he flew to Belfast last May to host an event in honor of close friend, broadcasting legend Gloria Hunniford.
He ended up in the emergency room at the city’s Royal Victoria Hospital after his spinal problems caused bladder and bowel problems.
Eamonn was immediately admitted for emergency surgery, but the surgery was postponed at the last minute, when the surgeon decided it was “too complicated.”

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Eamonn talked about how to get a scan first revealed the three protruding discs, explaining, “I still thought it was going to go away, but it didn’t. The domino effect was that I lost a lot of strength in my right leg.
“I got epidural, which helped to some extent, but didn’t solve the problem. I started using a cane, so life became more restricted.’
“The spine and all the nerves that come off of it affect so many other things, which he said needed to be addressed first. I was crushed. I had been in severe pain for a year and I fervently hoped this would be the answer.’
