Inside Drea De Matteo’s flailing property portfolio – from New York City apartment burning down in gas EXPLOSION to selling family’s beloved Hamptons home – as former Sopranos star is ‘FORCED’ to join OnlyFans

Sopranos alum Drea De Matteo’s property portfolio has been massively depleted in recent years – with the TV star revealing this week that she has no choice but to join OnlyFans amid her teetering fortunes.

The actress, 51, who rose to fame as Adriana La Cerva in the HBO drama, announced last month her foray into the adult subscription site, known for its explicit content, and is charging users $15 to access her racy uploads.

De Matteo has since claimed that she was forced to join the site because her refusal to get the COVID vaccine prevented her from finding work in Hollywood.

“You could say I was a bad girl because I didn’t follow the rules a few years ago,” she said in a recent interview with Fox News when she opened up about signing up for the site.

‘So I never want to be at the mercy of mandates, strikes or anything like that again.

‘I used to have a lot of money. And then suddenly I went from being allowed to work to never being allowed to work again. I was never the kind of actor who took jobs just to stay in the business. I literally took jobs to feed my family.”

She also revealed that her 15-year-old daughter Alabama Gypsyrose even helps edit her raunchy footage.

Matteo’s OnlyFans launch comes in the wake of her putting her four-bedroom LA property up for sale for $3.6 million – years after her New York City apartment burned down.

Here, DailyMail.com takes a look at De Matteo’s rising real estate portfolio, as the actress claims her stance on COVID-19 mandates worked against her.

Drea De Matteo New York City was devastated by a devastating gas explosion in 2015

De Matteo’s New York City apartment, located at 123 Second Avenue, was destroyed by an explosion in 2015.

Three buildings in the city’s East Village collapsed after a gas-related explosion, leaving 22 people injured (including four seriously) and two people missing at the time.

The actress previously lived there for the better part of 22 years with other celebrities, including designer Charlotte Ronson.

‘New York’s best is trying to put out the flames of my and many other apartments. Speechless…,” she wrote in a post shared to her Instagram and Facebook pages at the time. “(Praying) for those who are hurt.”

In another photo, she added, “A hole where my New York home of the past 22 years once stood… RIP 123 2nd Avenue.”

She spoke about the tragedy two years after the fire and admitted that she hoped to receive some compensation because she could not afford the rising cost of living in New York.

“I lived in that apartment most of my life — I made great memories there,” she said in an interview in 2017. “I was a real East Village girl.”

“I do want to be reimbursed, especially because of my heartache, stress and (inability) to pay the cost of living in New York,” she continued to the New York Post.

‘People think, “She’s on a TV show, she’ll be fine.” I’m not one of those actors who run off with money.’

The star sold the Hamptons family home that her parents built to developers in 2022

Last year, De Matteo said goodbye to the Hamptons home that her parents Albert and Donna De Matteo built together in the 1990s.

The television star sold the sprawling waterfront property to interior designer Whitney Noelle and tech founder Damian Mogavero for $3.1 million – with the couple spending the better part of 12 months gutting a complete renovation.

Following the overhaul, the impressive escape, described as an ‘entertainer’s paradise’, benefited from luxury additions such as a swimming pool and wine cellar.

It also has its own private beach on Three Mile Harbor.

De Matteo put her Hollywood Hills home up for sale in June after cutting $200,000 from the original asking price

According to Zillow, De Matteo’s four-bedroom, three-bathroom Spanish turret in LA, which features an outdoor pool with a separate spa and a huge fireplace, was put up for sale in February for the first time in two decades.

The 3,439-square-foot home was initially valued at $3.8 million before the price was reduced by $200,000 to $3.6 million just a month later.

The listing was removed entirely in May before eventually being reinstated in June for $3.6 million.

De Matteo purchased her LA home, located in the Hollywood Hills, in 2004, but according to property records, she has joined forces with Amanda Cavallacci to co-own the property over the past seven years.

Cavallacci’s name first appeared on the deeds in 2016, while the couple remortgaged the house in 2018 and 2019.

More recently, De Matteo regained full ownership after taking out a mortgage herself in February 2022.

De Matteo’s Hollywood career exploded before the turn of the century due to her role as the long-term girlfriend of Tony Soprano’s protégé, Christopher Moltisanti.
