Inside Dave Grohl’s VERY star-studded love life: Twice-married rock legend has had rumored romances with Christina Aguilera, Winona Ryder, and more – decades prior to secret baby bombshell

Dave Grohl has admitted to cheating on his wife Jordyn Blum and secretly fathering a child.

The 55-year-old Foo Fighters singer made the admission in a statement he posted on Instagram on Tuesday.

The statement read: ‘I recently became the father of a new baby daughter, born out of wedlock. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.

“I love my wife and my children, and I am committed to earning their trust and forgiveness. We are grateful for your attention to all the children involved as we move forward together.”

Grohl and Blum, 48, met in 2001 and have been married since 2003. They have three daughters: Violet, Harper and Ophelia.

But before Grohl started dating Blum, he had already dated a number of celebrities.

The former Nirvana drummer has dated Louise Post (Veruca Salt), Jennifer Finch (L7) and snowboarder Tina Basich. He was also rumored to have romanced Christina Aguilera and Winona Ryder.

Her relationship with Post served as inspiration for the iconic Foo Fighters song Everlong. In 2021, she spoke candidly about her contribution to the song and what Grohl whispered during the track.

She shared a rough version of Everlong on her Instagram, writing in the caption, “I sang these background vocals at 2am over the phone after being woken up from a deep sleep in Chicago by DG recording vocals for ‘Everlong’ in LA.

“He wanted me to sing the doo-doo’s, which were inspired by our song ‘Shimmer Like a Girl.’ As I was doing it, I wrote a harmony for the chorus and sang it.

“The whispered part of this song was originally the dream I was having when the phone rang. It was a dream about us. He later deleted it and replaced it with his own whisper, one that was a love letter to me.”

But after a year together, they split – Grohl allegedly ended their relationship so he could seduce Winona Ryder, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Post was apparently inspired by the split and wrote several songs about it, including Disconnected, although she later suggested that the lyrics weren’t about Grohl at all.

She insisted that they were friends now.

“People definitely read things into my songs. In interviews, any mention of him makes me angry. It was a private relationship, but it got so much publicity. I didn’t mean for it to happen. I’m friends with him now,” she told the Sydney Morning Herald in 2003.

Grohl also dated Jennifer Finch, a bassist in the all-female punk rock band L7.

According to Biography, their bands moved in similar social circles and they started hanging out together shortly after Grohl joined Nirvana as drummer.

Finch recalls watching Nirvana rise to fame after the release of their album Nevermind in a documentary about her band, L7: Pretend We’re Dead.

“And it blew up,” she said, according to Grunge. “Everywhere I go, everywhere I look, I see this f***ing face,” Finch said. “Honestly, I’m sick of it.”

In the late 1990s, Grohl also dated professional snowboarder Tina Basich.

They dated for two years until he finally broke it off.
