The 55-year-old Foo Fighters singer made the admission in a statement he posted on Instagram on Tuesday.

The statement read: ‘I recently became the father of a new baby daughter, born out of wedlock. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.

“I love my wife and my children, and I am committed to earning their trust and forgiveness. We are grateful for your attention to all the children involved as we move forward together.”

Grohl and Blum, 48, met in 2001 and have been married since 2003. They have three daughters: Violet, Harper and Ophelia.
