Australia were crowned World Cup champions on Sunday and fans were lucky enough to get a glimpse into their dressing room celebrations.
Travis Head’s superb century lifted Australia to World Cup glory for a sixth time as they defeated an all-conquering India and silenced more than 110,000 home fans in Ahmedabad.
The hosts brushed aside all comers – including Australia in their opening group match – as they marched to the final with a 100 percent record, but fell short in a six-wicket loss in front of a huge but increasingly somber crowd at the match. Narendra Modi Stadium.
Captain Pat Cummins then raised the trophy before a disappointed and disappearing crowd.
He then brought the cup to the ecstatic locker room and sparked even more celebrations.

Centurion Travis Head enjoyed a moment alone with the trophy after his match-winning display.
The players then proceeded to jump up and down and sing along as Freed From Desire ran over the speakers.
Cummins then took to his phone to post a photo of the moment he lifted the trophy to his Instagram, before the squad posed for further photos.
Pat Cummins spoke of reaching cricket’s ‘pinnacle’ after Australia claimed its sixth Men’s World Cup title and broke a nation’s hearts in the process.
“That’s huge, that’s the pinnacle of cricket, winning a World Cup, especially here in India,” said Cummins, a captain who won this year’s World Test Championship and retained the Ashes. “These are the moments you will remember for the rest of your life.”
