Inside Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch’s £3M Surrey mansion after the model revealed she struggled to find a house big enough because the 6’7 footballer can’t fit through doors

Abbey Clancy has given fans a glimpse into the stunning home she shares with husband Peter Crouch and their four children.

The model, 37, and former England player, 42, bought their £3million abode in 2016, with Abbey renovating the grounds to make the perfect family home for the couple and children Sophia, 12, Liberty, eight, Johnny, six and four-year-old Jack.

Over the years she has shared a series of snaps with her 725,000 Instagram followers, giving fans a glimpse into her home office, cinema and giant garden.

Abbey has always had a passion for interior design and is set to explore a range of celebrity homes in her new ITV show.

Looking ahead to the upcoming six-part series, Abbey revealed she struggled to buy houses big enough for husband Peter, claiming the 6ft 7in ex-footballer couldn’t fit through the door.

The model revealed while speaking to 6ft2in Jodie Kidd about her Sussex cottage, which has traditional exposed beams, and how she navigates the low ceilings in her idyllic country house.

Jodie says: ‘I’ve thrown myself on these beams so many times’, and Abbey replies: ‘We couldn’t buy the houses we wanted because Pete couldn’t fit through the door!’

It’s just one of the properties interior design-obsessed Abbey has been invited to, as the mother-of-four also peeks into the modest abodes of the likes of Emma Tin, Marchioness of Bath, and former Sugababe Heidi Range.

Speaking in MailOnline’s first look clip of the series, Abbey admits: “Anyone who says they don’t like peeking into people’s houses is a liar” as well as explaining her love of interiors was born out of her pleasure for the finer things.

Abbey admits: ‘I’m addicted to looking at properties… I think I look at properties more than clothes.’

She also pops into the homes of former Love Island stars Olivia and Alex Bowen, Mean Apprentice Queen Linda Plant and Rolling Stones Ronnie’s ex-wife Jo Wood.

Abbey is shocked to discover hidden gems inside the celebrity estate, such as a Ferrari Dino 246 GT in Sugababe Heidi’s living room and a sex toy owned by none other than model Caprice.

She showed a framed illustration Ronnie had done of Jo wearing nothing but socks and joked with the entrepreneur that she needed a ‘wax’ when the revealing picture was taken.

And she doesn’t shy away from emotion, breaking down in tears as she learns about the sentimental value of some celebrity possessions.

She sobs as Heidi reveals that she keeps a porcelain angel on a shelf in her living room that once belonged to her grandmother, explaining that the figurine “guards the house” in memory of her loved one.

Abby admits taking part in the new show was a daunting experience as it’s the first TV project she’s worked on since giving birth to her three youngest children, plus it’s a subject she feels passionately about.

She said: “It’s actually a bit nerve-wracking.

“I had three of my four children so close to each other and then we had the pandemic, so it feels like a big thing to be back on screen, so I’ve put quite a bit of pressure on myself because this show has my name attached to it.” so I really want to make sure I’m actually delivering.’

The podcaster says meeting Jodie Kidd for the show ‘inspired’ her, admitting her ambitions have grown now she’s in her late 30s.

She said: “Life is all about adventure and trying new things, the older I get the more aware I am of what’s out there and what you can achieve.

“Meeting celebrities as part of this series has inspired me, Jodie Kidd, for example, has gone from legendary supermodel to race car driver to pilot to polo player.”
