A man has been charged with murder after a body was found in a NSW prison.
Police were called to Parklea Correctional Facility in Sydney’s northwest at 9.30am on Sunday after the inmate was found unconscious in a cell.
The man was treated by Corrective Services officers until paramedics arrived, but was pronounced dead at the scene.
“He has yet to be formally identified,” NSW Police said on Monday.
A 20-year-old inmate was arrested on murder charges on Sunday afternoon.
He has been refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Monday.
