Injured Man United star Alejandro Garnacho was spotted out and about in the city in his protective boot and crutches on Friday afternoon.

The winger has been sidelined since picking up an ankle injury against Southampton earlier this month, which Erik ten Hag deemed “worse than I feared”.

It comes at a terrible time in the season for the young Argentinian, who has risen through the ranks and become a reliable member of the United team.

Given his impressive performances of late, it’s only fair that he enjoy the time while he’s injured and that’s exactly what he did after being spotted out in town on Friday.

Photographers spotted the 18-year-old leaving a family lunch in Hale, Manchester, with his crutches and moon boot in place.

Garnacho has been out since he injured his ankle in the draw with Southampton

The winger has scored twice and provided two assists in the Premier League this year.

Garnacho wore a light blue Nike tracksuit along with a cool white Nike sneaker on his left foot, to go along with the boot on his right foot.

The winger did not seem very animated as he made his way back to his car with the help of his crutches.

The 18-year-old broke into United’s first team this year under the management of Erik ten Hag and will be devastated that he won’t be able to feature for the foreseeable future.

He limped out of United’s 0-0 draw against Southampton after a firm but fair tackle from Kyle Walker-Peters.

Garnacho, who had come on as a substitute in the 73rd minute, seemed to be dying on the Old Trafford pitch after coming on in the 82nd minute, but went on to play eight more before being pulled off at the last minute.

Argentine TV channel T&C Sports Garnacho’s hit is reported to be worse than initially feared and means he will miss out on the national team double this month.

World Cup champions Argentina, led by Lionel Scaloni, are said to be patient with the injury and will see how it develops before deciding whether to drop Garnacho from the team.
