An influencer who delivered her baby while in a coma has spoken out for the first time since collapsing from a brain aneurysm a year ago – as she revealed she now suffers from aphasia and has “limited” use of her limbs.

Jackie Miller James, 36, bso heavily pregnant when she fell to the ground in June 2023 before being found by husband Austin.

The expectant mother was rushed to hospital and put into a medically induced coma, while daughter Knoxly was born by C-section and spent her first twelve days in the NICU.

A year after her terrifying health incident, Jackie has given fans an update on her health, revealing that she is ready to ‘reclaim her life’ but is finding it difficult to make a full recovery due to her ongoing battle with aphasia.

Jackie took over Instagram earlier today to give her 89,000 followers the latest news on her health journey, while thanking the love and support of her fans for getting her through the difficult year.

‘Thank you for all your love and support, we have been to hospitals in California, Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas, it has been a difficult year.

“There is more work to be done, but thanks to friends and family and this community, we are ready to start living again. I will share my journey and recovery, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you,” she said in the heartfelt message.

In the caption, Jackie went further into the details of her recovery, where she revealed that she suffers from aphasia – the loss of the ability to understand or express speech – while the mother of one shared the various challenges she faces has had since her medical treatment. to scare.

She said: ‘What a year it has been for me and my family. Last May I was given a 50/50 chance of making it through the night… and now I’m writing to you here.

“A week after our first child’s due date, my husband, Austin, found me collapsed in our living room. I had suffered an aneurysm rupture in my brain. After a month in the intensive care unit here in Orange County, we traveled from hospital to hospital pursuing further therapies that would help me learn to live again.

‘I still struggle with aphasia, which affects my speech, and have limited use of my right arm and leg. But I am more motivated than ever to continue working. I look forward to sharing more about my unique journey in the hope that it helps others going through trauma. There is hope!

‘Although recovery has had some incredibly difficult moments, having my ten-month-old daughter Knoxly by my side has been my source of motivation. And through it all, Austin has been my rock. Friends and family have also stepped up in truly amazing ways to support us from the beginning. Thanks, Mom!

Last year, Jackie was left fighting for her life after her husband found her unconscious on the floor of their living room.

Just days after the horrific incident, her family shared the news that she had given birth to a daughter via caesarean section while still in a coma.

When the baby arrived, Jackie’s family revealed that the influencer would remain in the hospital for “the foreseeable future.”

At the time, the new mother was placed on life support after undergoing five separate brain procedures.

She was expected to remain in intensive care for weeks and require significant therapy and assistance.

Her sisters Natalie and Nicelle started raising money for her via GoFundMe in an effort to share updates on her health journey and ensure they could bring her home safely.

‘If Jackie and the baby had arrived at the hospital a few minutes later, we probably would have lost them both.

“But instead, Jackie continues to fight for her life every day and we are optimistic that she can beat the odds by surrounding her with the right specialists and therapy methods.

“Although the road will be long, we want to bring Jackie home to her daughter and husband,” the GoFundMe said.

A month later, her family said they were “extremely pleased” to report that the mother-of-one was “performing beyond expectations at this stage of her recovery.”

“Jackie is awake and has recently been transferred to one of the best neurological rehabilitation hospitals in the country,” they wrote.

‘The doctors are pleased with her latest tests, grades and evaluations and note that Jackie is performing above expectations at this stage of her recovery.

Although her family was overjoyed with the progress, they knew Jackie still had a long road to recovery.

However, they remained positive thanks to her daughter, who was a ‘constant source of light for the whole family’ during the harrowing ordeal.

“(She) continues to grow into a happy, healthy and vibrant little angel.

“Jackie has also recently been reunited with her baby and is spending much of the day with her entire family in the hospital.”

Just weeks before her harrowing health ordeal, Jackie took to Instagram to show off her beauty in a slew of glamorous snaps.

In the caption, she revealed that she was 39 weeks pregnant.

On the same day, Jackie posted a series of photos showing the “pregnancy symptoms (she) wasn’t expecting.”

One of these was snoring so badly that her husband could not sleep and ‘crying hysterically for no reason’.

Jackie became a social media star in 2021 after working as a professional backup dancer in New York.

Prior to her dancing career, she worked for a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills for six years.

She said she has always been fascinated by Botox, cosmetics and beauty and wanted a forum where they could talk honestly.

Jackie also chronicled her dating dramas before meeting Austin online in 2019.

The couple married in April 2022 in a lavish ceremony in Napa Valley, which was described as a “little bit of Cali and a little bit of country.”
