Influencer turns her nose up at free Kmart beauty products… before quickly backtracking and deleting the posts on Instagram

A Perth influencer who turned her nose up at Kmart beauty products on social media has quickly backtracked and deleted her posts.

Lauren “Loz” Curtis, 30, recently shared a video on Instagram capturing her opening a Kmart PR package that was given to her for free.

However, Loz couldn't hide her disappointment when she discovered the box contained cheap beauty products instead of the Christmas goodies she was expecting.

'I thought it would be Christmas stuff, this wasn't what I expected. What are these brands, are these all Kmart brands? Ugh,” an upset Loz said to the camera.

'What does it matter? “I don't want to sound ungrateful, but if I had known these were going to be the gifts, I would have turned it down because I'm not going to use any of this.”

Lauren's perceived ingratitude did not sit well with her followers, who lashed out at her in the now-deleted post.

Curtis quickly posted a follow-up video explaining why she deleted the original post, stressing that she wasn't backing away from her original claims.

“Some people are offended by my honesty about the Kmart stuff. I've given Kmart endless free publicity. This is not a small local business struggling to make ends meet,” she began.

However, she later reversed course when she discovered that the beauty product brands were in fact produced by small local companies.

'It's actually a small company, I didn't know that, and that changes things. But I still stand by my concerns about using these products at home, I don't think you should,” she said.

Lauren first rose to fame on YouTube in 2011.

She regularly promotes products from discount store K-Mart and beauty products on her social media accounts.
