Aussie Influencer mum publicly responds after being shamed for attending two Taylor Swift shows in Melbourne

An influencer has hit back after being publicly shamed online for scoring tickets to two Taylor Swift concerts in Melbourne last week.

Olivia White, 34, responded to criticism after she came under fire in a Facebook group for seeing the US pop megastar one evening with her girlfriend, followed by another evening with her daughter.

The user in the social media group stated that there was ‘so much outrage’ among Swifties who missed out on tickets, while Olivia managed to attend twice.

Speaking on her Instagram Story, Olive wrote: ‘I’m not sure why I’m being used as an example when so many people went to multiple shows and I’m done with people lashing out at those who did.’

“Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened with the tickets I was able to get per show…” she added.

Olivia noted her efforts to “help others” successfully obtain tickets and attend the concerts.

‘I have also managed to get tickets for friends for the Melbourne and Sydney shows, and I have put so much effort into helping others with the last minute sales in recent weeks which I know many are having success with had,” she continued.

“I don’t see many people doing that once, twice or however many times… But people feel the need to find a specific person to blame for not getting a ticket?” Okay, if that’s what you need, and I hope you’ll eventually come to terms with that.’

In the Facebook group, several disappointed Swifties who missed it expressed their frustrations with people attending more than one show.

“As someone who missed out on tickets, it’s a little hard to look at people who went to more than one concert,” one person wrote.

“People going more than once is selfish, others have missed out and it would be nice to give more people the chance to go too,” another added.

‘I’m a big Taylor fan. I got the chance to go twice, but instead gave the ticket to a friend who didn’t get tickets. Personally, I don’t agree with multiple shows due to supply and demand,” one user commented.

However, others came out in support of Olivia and called out the jealous fans.

‘Why shouldn’t they be allowed to go to as many concerts as they can get tickets for? Sounds like a bunch of bitter people who are just jealous,” someone said.

“I’m not a Taylor fan, but if anyone had the opportunity to see their favorite artist twice, they would never say no,” said another.

“I think the outrage in these scenarios is foolish? Good for them, just take it in. I’m sure she won’t come back here for a few years.’
