Influencer Karina Irby is publicly humiliated after cruel pedicure discovers her incurable skin condition
Body-positive influencer Karina Irby was humiliated on Monday when she was assessed for a skin condition while getting a pedicure.
The bikini designer, 33, has been open about her lifelong battle with eczema, which leaves her skin marred by scars and ‘white spots’.
In an emotional Instagram video, she said she now felt “good” about her body and wanted a pedicure – something she has previously avoided because of her skin.
Unfortunately, instead of boosting her confidence, Karina’s courage was judged by her podiatrist.
“I have lumps, bumps, scars, as I understand it, I look different. But this lady looked at me like I was a pure disease,” the blonde beauty said in an emotional video.

In a heartbreaking Instagram video, Karina called the pedicure one of the worst experiences of her life
Karina said the woman had a disgusted look on her face throughout the treatment and kept pricking ‘textured’ patches of skin on her legs.
The influencer called the moment “the worst pedicure experience of her life” and said she was “mortified” by the woman’s reaction to her legs.
“I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole,” she said.
She added: ‘The whole pedicure I couldn’t relax. I felt so uncomfortable. I just watched her look at my skin… It’s just skin. I’m not a walking disease.’
Shortly after posting the video, which she filmed in her car after getting the pedicure, Karina shared a photo of herself with tears in her eyes.
‘Kindness is so easy. I really don’t understand. Why act so loudly and so carelessly? Surrounded by people, causing a commotion. About what? White spots on my skin?’ she wrote.
“If you’re so concerned, why don’t you ask in private?” Why did you feel the need to make a loud announcement and make big hand gestures?’
