Influencer films herself in a bear’s den… before the enormous beast comes home in an ‘edge of life’ moment

This is the shocking moment an influencer comes face to face with a brown bear while filming video from inside the beast’s den.

Stefan Jankovic, 31, from Serbia, shared two clips of the terrifying experience on social media after he narrowly escaped from the predator’s home.

One of the images shows the panicked Instagram star sitting in the depths of a muddy cave, peering up at the entrance above him.

But when he turns the camera around, he sees a giant bear staring at him, before slowly descending the slope and heading for his den.

Jankovic continues to film the tense moment as the predator descends further into the hole and towards the social media icon.

The brown bear takes a few more steps toward him, sitting with its legs stretched out in front of him, until its furry snout comes closer and closer to Jankovic’s face.

As the man tries to climb out of the den and sneak past the predator, he stops abruptly when the bear begins sniffing his head.

With a bewildered expression on his face, Jankovic sits motionless as he lets the bear sniff his head and camera.

Eventually, the TikToker escapes the cramped den and passes the bear.

But in a second clip, a brave Jankovic is seen in a tree, while two curious bears hang out on the ground around him.

The footage shows one of the bears scratching at the base of the tree as it looks up at Jankovic.

“You won’t believe what happened to me,” Janovic says in the clip, according to a translation by the Daily Star.

“I spend 24 hours in the woods, and a bear attacks me. He’s waiting for me, and there’s another one.”

The social media star didn’t explain how he got into the situation with the bear, but did post the video with the title On the Edge of Life.

It was not immediately clear where the footage was shot or whether it was of a wild bear or one kept in a reserve.

Both shocking fragments were viewed more than 182,000 times on X, formerly Twitter, by Monday morning. Viewers’ opinions on the incident were divided.

Someone wrote: ‘Looks like he made it out alive this time, but next time nature will take its course’.

Another said: ‘Perhaps the next edition of the famous fairy tale “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” should include the addition “Don’t try this at home.”

A third said: ‘If he’s not fake he’s lucky he didn’t get ripped to pieces.’

Another said: ‘No, you can see that the bears know him! Otherwise his head would have been broken’.
