Aussie influencer encourages 11-year-old daughter to try out popular biohack despite experts warning against it
Rachael Finch encouraged her daughter Violet to try an ice bath, despite warnings from experts.
The Australian influencer, 35, took to her Instagram Stories on New Year’s Eve to share a video of 11-year-old Violet hesitant to enter the icy bathwater.
However, Violet didn’t seem entirely convinced as she jumped ankle deep into the water and screamed as Rachael giggled as she filmed the ordeal.
As Violet tried to get into the cold tub, Rachael asked her, “What do you think, angel?”
Violet then warned others not to try it themselves and also apparently lashed out at online trolls for leaving cruel comments on her mother’s posts.
She seemed to give up on the ice bath and said, “Don’t try this at home and stop texting these mean comments, too bad!”

Despite Violet trying out the biohack, which refers to using DIY methods to improve health, medical experts have warned against children doing ice baths.
Children are not recommended to use cryotherapy because they cannot regulate their body temperature as well as adults.
If children are allowed to use ice baths, it is advised that the water is no colder than 10 degrees Celsius, that they are supervised at all times and that they should be in the water for a maximum of five minutes.
The elderly and those with medical conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure or diabetes are also cautioned to avoid ice baths.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Rachael for comment.
In addition to Violet, Rachael also shares youngest son Dominic, seven, with her husband Michael Miziner.
Rachael is known as a fitness fanatic and often gives her fans insight into her and her family’s workout regimes.
On Christmas Day, she shared a video on Instagram of her and her family all exercising at a local playground, as they weren’t taking time off from their active lifestyle.
In addition to Violet, Rachael also shares youngest son Dominic, seven, with her husband Michael Miziner and they are known for being a very fitness-oriented family.
In the video, Rachael led her family through an intense supervised training session on Christmas morning as they all did pyramid jumps together.
“Come on, Violet. We can’t give up now!’ Rachael said in the video, motivating her daughter to complete the morning workout.
It appeared that Dominic had also hit a wall during his training, prompting Michael to turn around and say, “Don’t sit down, come on!”
Rachael also shared a photo of her family posing happily after their post-Christmas workout, with her children Violet and Dominic beaming next to Michael.
The family often stay fit and train together but have divided fans on social media, with Rachael regularly targeted for their very active lifestyle.
Rachael doesn’t shy away from attacking online trolls and earlier this year shared an impassioned post labeling her as an ‘almond mum’.
She was wildly accused of ‘endangering’ her children after sharing a video of herself making them ‘naked burgers’ using lettuce cups instead of buns.
“Almond mother” is a pejorative term for a mother who imposes disordered and unhealthy eating habits on her children.

It is often used to refer to parents who are ‘obsessed’ with nutrition.
An excited Rachael quickly responded to the unfounded accusation, which she found ‘hilarious’.
“This was because I made naked burgers for dinner (meat patties and veggies wrapped in a lettuce cup),” she wrote on Instagram.
“While it’s downright nasty, it’s also absurdly hilarious. I have now become a professional at responding emotionally to these comments.”
