A woman has delved into the modern dating scene and wonders why men want to go on ‘low-effort’ walking dates.
Influencer Sasha Morpeth, from the Gold CoastQueensland, took her away TikTok and admitted that she has a bone to pick with men who take their dates for walks.
The content creator admitted that she doesn’t like walking and thinks people should put more effort into going on a date.
Sasha – who has four million followers on TikTok – said: ‘I’m sorry, but who on earth wants to go for a walk as a date?
“Really the number of people in public who came up and said, ‘We should go for a walk sometime.’

‘Walking as friends? Is it a date? I don’t know, because it’s such a cheap offer.
“Do guys these days just not bother going out with you until they know they really like you?
‘Is there anyone else who will deliver flowers to the door, take you on a date-like atmosphere? Because maybe I’m just not healthy enough.’
While she was doing her makeup, Sasha spoke to the camera and then said that while some people may be financially strapped for money, it would be better to make sandwiches and take them to the beach than take a walk.
She said she was afraid she would run into people she knows on a walk and be bombarded with questions about who she is with.
‘I don’t feel like seeing my mother, my brother and my ex’s new girlfriend when I’m on a date. The whole city is walking,” she said.
Sasha then said she felt “really bad” about going on a date and admitted that the man would “probably” see the rant she posted.
‘Really, when he asked, I thought: I don’t walk. Which of course I walk, but am I being picky?
‘Am I asking too much? Am I just lazy and everyone wants to go on walking dates these days? Why can’t we just go back to dating like our parents used to date?’
Sasha said that while some people may be strapped for cash, making sandwiches and taking them to the beach would be better than going for a walk.
