An Australian influencer has called out social media stars for posting images of others’ children online but hiding the faces of their own.
Courtney Stubbs used TikTok to criticize her colleagues who refuse to show their children’s faces on social media but share images of others’ young children.
‘You know those influencers who don’t post their children’s faces online. There is a belief that they will be recognized if they go out in public with their child,” she began.
“But I just saw the same person post a dump and there are children and babies on it.”
“Those children can now be recognized in public and you don’t feel comfortable with your child being seen and recognized. It doesn’t make sense to me,” she continued.
Courtney continued, “[Even if the parents agreed] they are not used to an audience that you have, but you would know that your audience could have the same effect on their children.”

“If it’s your children’s safety, technically you’re not putting their children at risk right now. Wouldn’t you just like to not put any kids on your feed at all?’
Her video comes after Steph Claire Smith shared photos of her friend’s children on Instagram on Sunday as she celebrated her 31st birthday, but hid her son’s face.
The post included images of the pregnant star posing with guests and their babies.
However, Steph also uploaded an image with her husband Josh Miller and their three-year-old son Harvey, which had a heart emoji on his face.
She revealed earlier this month that she is no longer showing her son’s face on social media after fans asked why the previously very open internet personality suddenly started hiding Harvey’s face in family photos shared on her public account.
‘This question is very common. And often in a judgmental tone, not a curious tone,” she wrote.
“He was recognized when he was in public with other people like my mother, not even with me, and that made me uncomfortable.”
“So it’s a decision we’ve made for now,” she continued.

Steph is currently expecting her second child and posted to Instagram in November to share the news.
She announced the news with a series of black and white photos on Instagram.
In the images, which were also shared by her husband Josh, Steph showed off her baby bump while wearing a skimpy bikini.
In the caption, the influencer wrote, “Harvey is going to be a big brother.”
