Influencer breaks down in tears over seagull as she notices disturbing detail: ‘This is so sad’

Love Island Australia winner Tina Provis has shared a disturbing video of a seagull during a day at the beach.

In a video she posted to TikTok on Wednesday, the 28-year-old saw the seagull standing on a red life preserver and expressed her horror at the detail that many bystanders missed.

From a distance the bird appeared fine, but when she zoomed in, Tina saw that one of its legs had been torn off by fishing line.

In fact, the line somehow became entangled in the seagull’s other body parts, leaving the decomposing leg hanging on.

“His leg isn’t attached to his body. Oh my God, oh my God, I feel so sorry for this little guy. What is that, it’s like… is that even a foot?” Tina cried.

“Oh my God, so he’s reminded of that every day,” the influencer added before leaving the bird alone and saying, “I hope you’re doing okay.”

When she returned to her car, the winner of the 2021 season of Love Island burst into tears.

“It makes me so sad that this poor seagull is just flying around. I tried to go back and find him but he wasn’t there anymore,” the reality star said on her TikTok.

This comes as Tina recently revealed the ‘sad’ reason why she struggled so much during her stint on Channel Nine’s popular dating show, which she won in 2021.

The Love Islander shared a heartbreaking post on Instagram revealing that she felt insecure on the show as she was one of the few non-white cast members.

“Looking back on my Love Island experience, the environment reinforced a fear I’ve had for a long time that I can barely admit to myself: I’m not as good as someone who’s white,” she began.

Tina, who won the show alongside Mitch Hibberd, said she worried about finding love on the show as she was the only Asian person in a predominantly white cast.

She said: ‘When you’re stuck between coloured plexiglass and annoying neon signs, you wonder, ‘Doesn’t anyone want me because I’m Asian?’

‘I was having a conversation with another POC islander where we wondered if our race made us less attractive.

“Ultimately, it’s a social experience and everything that happens is a reinforcement of behavior in the real world.”
