Influencer Anna McEvoy hits back at fan accusing her of ‘letting fame get to her head’… after lavish Greek wedding
Love Island Australia star Anna McEvoy has responded to a fan who has accused her of ‘letting fame go to her head’.
The reality star hit back after a woman admitted on Facebook that she used to be a fan of Anna, but believes she has changed since her appearance on the dating show in 2022.
In a thread about Anna from the Tea Time group, she wrote: ‘I always loved Anna, but she really let the fame go to her head!’
The reality TV star responded to the comment by asking how she had changed.
The woman explained that she didn’t like a video Anna recently posted on her social media, in which she asked fans to recommend a hairstylist for her wedding after she had a trial with another hairdresser.

“That whole video you made about finding a hairstylist who can do it better than the picture. I felt like I was disgracing the woman who did your hair in the first place,” she wrote.
‘I don’t know if it was intended that way, but it was. The substantive atmosphere has changed somewhat over the course of the year. It’s fine, it’s not for everyone, but I noticed a change.’
Anna then explained why she “hasn’t changed at all” and said she feels “grateful” to be in the position she is in.
‘It was absolutely not the intention for it to come across that way. “I was just desperate to find someone less than two months away from my wedding after searching all avenues,” she began.
“Anyway, I’m sorry you feel like I’ve changed. I haven’t changed at all and am super grateful for the position I am in xxx.’

The couple chose to hold their ceremony at the chic Courti Estate, described as a ‘luxury Corfu villa’ with nine bedrooms for guests.
Anna looked beautiful in a wedding dress by Alin Le’ Kal from the Melbourne couture designer.
The flowing dress included a long floral embroidered train and a boned corset bodice with dainty straps and a thigh-high slit.

She revealed she was getting married on the Greek island of Corfu early last year, after getting engaged to Michael in October 2022.
Their wedding venue is part of a fully renovated nine-bedroom estate, where the bride and groom’s family and close friends stay.
She rose to fame on season two of Love Island Australia, winning the show with Josh Packham, but they split in December 2020.
