A Brazilian influencer died Tuesday from complications during buttock augmentation surgery.
Aline Ferreira, 33, had polymethyl methacrylate applied to her buttocks during the procedure at the unauthorized Ame-se clinic in the city of Goiânia on June 23.
Correo Brazilenze obtained access to a preliminary report which showed that Ferreira was in a coma and suffered cardiac arrest last Friday and Sunday.
Her husband told the Brazilian news outlet G1 that Ferreira returned home to Brasilia on the day of the operation and that they were doing well.
However, the next day her medical condition began to deteriorate as she developed a fever.
Brazilian influencer and mother of two Aline Ferreira died Tuesday at a hospital in Brasilia, the capital of the South American country. Ferreira’s husband contacted the clinic of Grazielly da Silva, the biomedical scientist who owns the site and performed the procedure, and was told “it was normal and she should take medication for the fever.”
On June 26, Ferreira suffered from stomach pains and the next day he fainted.
She was admitted to the Asa Norte Regional Hospital and remained there until Saturday, when she was transferred to a private hospital in the city of Asa Sul.
