As one of the most infamous hellraisers in show business, rock star Liam Gallagher could be expected to move to a slightly livelier place to celebrate his 50th birthday.

But the former Oasis frontman instead marks this week’s milestone on the breathtakingly beautiful — and peaceful — Caribbean island of Mustique.

He has spent around £30,000 on a villa and is taking at least ten friends on a private jet for his big day on Wednesday.

Friends say his fiancée Debbie helped Gwyther organize the party, and they will be joined by his daughter Molly and sons Gene and Lennon.

However, his estranged brother Noel is not invited.

A source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Liam paid to take friends and family to a big week-long party.

“He’s rented a really flashy private villa with a private beach – he wanted to go somewhere where he wouldn’t have people taking pictures of him.

“He keeps joking that what happens on Mustique stays on Mustique, so anyone who goes expects it to be a big one.

“We were all a little surprised when he said he would take us to Mustique, it’s such a peaceful place.”

Gallagher has invited Sir Mick Jagger to the celebrations, as he has a villa on the island, although the Rolling Stones frontman is not believed to be there at the time.

A small private island in the West Indies, Mustique was a regular holiday destination for the late Princess Margaret, who built a villa called Les Jolies Eaux, where she would regularly stay with famous friends. She once said it’s “the only place I can relax.”

In 2019 Boris and Carrie Johnson went on vacation there.
