- British sports prankster “Jarvo 69” participated in the Cricket World Cup
- He passed through security in Chennai for the India v Australia match
- Jarvo – real name Daniel Jarvis – targets major sporting events
Famous sporting prankster Jarvo – real name Daniel Jarvis – has struck again after invading the pitch at the Cricket World Cup.
Jarvis entered the field moments before the start of Australia’s match against India and spoke to superstar Virat Kohli before being escorted from the venue in Chennai.
The Englishman wore an Indian kit with ‘Jarvo 69’ printed on the back.
The match would have been sold out, but Jarvis managed to get his hands on a ticket for the much-anticipated clash between the host nation and the five-time winners.
Jarvis’ antics prompted the ECB to launch a security review in 2021 when he disrupted three consecutive test matches between England and India.

The BBC also carried out an investigation this year after Jarvis managed to enter Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Molineux stadium and tape a mobile to the furniture on set.
Jarvis then called the phone from his home, with its ringtone – the sounds of a porn clip – ringing as Gary Lineker presented the live FA Cup match between Wolves and Liverpool to an audience of millions.
The embarrassing moaning began shortly after BBC1’s Match of the Day coverage began, leaving pundits visibly confused and viewers in disbelief, particularly those watching with children.
Lineker said afterwards that it was a “good prank” and quite amusing, and that the BBC should have nothing to apologize for. But the fact that Jarvis was able to access a station and install a telephone raises important security questions about the company’s outside broadcasts.
Jarvis, from Gravesend, Kent, whose multiple pitch invasions have led to arrests, posted a photo of himself outside the studio while it was under construction in recent days.
A judge sentenced Jarvis, who has 21 convictions for multiple stunts, to a two-year ban from all British sports stadiums last September after he disrupted an England Test match a year earlier when he ran onto the field and crashed into talisman Jonny Bairstow.

But the ban is only in force from an hour before kick-off until an hour after the match finishes, so he traveled to Molineux yesterday afternoon.
He told The Sun: “We cheered with the beers after we got out of there. It was hilarious. At that time, we didn’t know that we had succeeded because there was still time to wait.
“In those situations you just want to be as relaxed as possible and be yourself, that’s what we did.”
