The Indian Air Force (IAF) is not ready to be left behind. With the experience gained from building the Tejas light combat aircraft (LCA), New Delhi is looking to strengthen its aircraft manufacturing monopoly, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), and join hands with the Defense Aeronautical Development Agency Research & Development Organization (DRDO).
