The Indianapolis Colts announced they have suspended two players for the remainder of the regular season for “conduct detrimental to the team.”
Cornerback Tony Brown and receiver Isaiah McKenzie were both healthy inactive for the Colts' 30-13 win over the Steelers on Saturday.
Now it has been announced that they will also miss their final three games of the regular season.
The team did not elaborate on the “harmful behavior” they believe they engaged in, but rather on sources told ESPN the issue required “severe punishment.”
The pair are typically assigned to backup roles for the Colts, but were key members of the roster this season.

Brown has been important on special teams, playing 71 percent of their snaps this season.
He has managed one interception, one forced fumble and ten tackles.
Meanwhile, McKenzie had played in all 13 of the Colts' games this season before Saturday and had been their leading return man.
He has a record 11 catches for 82 yards, as well as 23 punt returns for 204 yards, with an average of 8.9 yards per return.
McKenzie has a better kickoff return record, returning six for 152 yards with an average of 25.3 yards per return.
It's bad timing for coach Shane Steichen as his Colts team looks to clinch a playoff spot in the coming weeks.
The 8-6 Colts would currently claim the No. 7 seed in the playoff spots if the regular season were to end today.
They face the Falcons, Raiders and Texas in their final three games of the season.
