MachineGames has released a new patch for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle that addresses a number of quality of life issues.

The developer has detailed the new changes in Update 2 patch noteswhich you can check out below, and it seems that it has mainly focused its attention on fixing general bugs ranging from gameplay and graphics.

The latest patch has now resolved an issue where users’ gaming machines were being reported as ‘corrupted’ or missing, even though there was no actual problem.

In terms of gameplay, the first-person action game now lets players equip Indy’s whip without any problem, his camera should no longer be permanently equipped, and it should no longer disappear after using the quick-equip feature.

Players on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will be happy to know that MachineGames has also vastly improved Global Illumination. Now shadow areas in the game should look as they should, instead of unusually bright.

General

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where the player might not be able to equip Indy’s whip.

  • Some further improvements to reduce double frame “stutter” during cutscenes.

Missions and Quests – Please note: this section contains some minor spoilers

  • Fixed an issue where Gina was not allowed to access the secret entrance to the Vatican Treasury, blocking mission progress.
  • Fixed an issue where Gina could open the lock to the Vatican Treasury exit as soon as you entered the room, potentially causing you to miss some very important story developments.
  • Fixed a large hole in the floor collision around the edge of the wall surrounding the Ziggurat in Sukhothai that the player could fall through.

PC-specific solutions

  • Fixed an issue where Nvidia DLSS could cause performance issues when enabled.

  • Fixed an issue where indoor lighting could be too bright when Path Tracing (Full Ray Tracing) is set to Medium or High Quality.
  • Known issue: Nvidia Frame Generation may be temporarily disabled when HDR is activated for the first time. To work around this problem, disable and then re-enable DLSS. This only needs to be done once.

Xbox specific fixes
