Draymond Green thinks the Indiana Fever need someone on their roster who can protect star rookie Caitlin Clark.
The four-time NBA champion took to social media after the No. 1 overall draft pick was brutally checked and pushed to the ground by Chicago Sky’s Chennedy Carter.
“Indiana better start investing in an enforcement officer… FAST!” he wrote in the comments section of one ESPNW report on Instagram.
Carter used her own body weight to hit Clark, knocking the Iowa alum to the ground as she stood waiting for the inbound.
Although most of Clark’s teammates had already entered the field, none of the Fever responded to Carter’s actions, earning her a personal foul.

Other commenters on social media agreed with Green’s opinion.
“The fact that her teammates don’t retaliate is a problem for me! I’m all for tough love, but her team needs to at least make her feel safe,” one person wrote on Instagram.
Another said, “Notice that Caitlyn’s teammates didn’t come to her aid, OR even try to help her?”
A third person wrote, “They need a Dillon Brooks and a Draymond Green…they need to protect the shooter.”

Clark, for her part, spoke to reporters after the incident in the third quarter of the Fever’s 71-70 win over Chicago Saturday night.
“That’s just not a basketball game, but I have to play through it, that’s what basketball at this level is about,” she said.
Clark, who shot 4-for-11 from the field, finished with 11 points, and the Fever will look to post their first string of consecutive wins this season when they face the Liberty on Sunday at Barclays Center.
