Indian superstar Jasprit Bumrah has taken the mickey out of Sam Konstas with a celebration after dismissing the Australian debutant on Sunday.
Konstas rattled India in his first innings, plundering just 52 balls for a half-century after some fantastic ramp shots and daring strokes as he saw off the world-class bowling attack.
However, the youngster could not do the same on Sunday after bowling eight off 18 balls through a perfect inswinger from Bumrah.
Bumrah smiled broadly after claiming the wicket and waved his hands to the crowd in a manner similar to Konstas during India’s innings.
‘That meant a lot to Bumrah. He was bowled out in the first innings by Konstas, 34 in the first spell,” said commentator Damien Fleming on Channel 7.
“But the great fast bowler has worked out a plan and generally it’s the ball that’s stitched in and it’s hit and bounced off the top of middle stump.
