India can eliminate those carrying out nefarious acts, says Rajnath Singh
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Saturday that if anyone tries to carry out a nefarious act, India can eliminate him or her on this side of the border and, if necessary, on the other side.
Singh was addressing a rally while campaigning for BJP candidate Lal Singh Arya at Khaneta village under Gohad assembly seat in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh.
“India’s pride is rising all over the world. During the Congress, people abroad said that India is a weak country. The world did not take our words very seriously, but the situation has changed now, and whenever India says something at international forums, the world listens with open ears,” the minister said.
Now India is not a weak country. No power in the world can dare to threaten India, he said.
“If anyone tries to commit a nefarious act, India can eliminate him or her on this side of the border and, if necessary, strike him or her on the other side of the border,” the defense minister said.
Singh said one person for every five families in Bhind district is in the army and he wanted to salute such families.
Lauding the work of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Defense Minister said Madhya Pradesh was previously a BIMARU (laggard) state.
“But people in the country are now saying that if you want to see growth, go to Madhya Pradesh. It is the cleanest state in the country. The per capita income in MPs was only Rs 11,718 in 2001-2002, which has now been increased. Ten times to over Rs 1.40 lakh by 2023,” the BJP leader said, adding that the growth rate in Madhya Pradesh is higher than India’s average GDP.
Singh said Madhya Pradesh is the only state where the government gives Rs 6,000 per year from its treasury to farmers, in addition to the same amount disbursed under the Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi.
Addressing another rally in Bhind, Singh said these elections will also determine the direction of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
“The people of the country want to see Narendra Modi as Prime Minister again,” he said.
Singh alleged that the sole aim of the opposition INDIA alliance is not to bring development but to thwart Narendra Modi.
He called the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) “birds that become active in Madhya Pradesh only before the elections and return to their nest after the elections”.
“These parties have nothing to do with Madhya Pradesh for the remaining period,” he said.
The elections for 230 parliamentary seats in Madhya Pradesh will take place on November 17.
